Got BLT for 4/8 - 4/16! Very surprised!

Yesterday, my husband and I decided to combime a trip to WDW with a trip to see his parents in Naples, FL. We were prepared to switch resorts during our stay as we expected there would be very limited, if any, availibility.

Much to my surprise every resort except BCV was available. What?! We booked a Lake View Studio at BLT. We thought it would be nice to try a new resort. Plus, being on the monorail and having the option to see the fireworks from the BLT bridge are really appealing features.

When I went to make online dining reservations, I was able to get Crystal Palace, Ohana, Norway Princess breakfast, and Cape May Cafe at the exact times I wanted.

What is going on? I am shocked that the resorts and restaurants have availability. I've been thinking that this would be a very busy time. Do you think this will be a really busy time or will it be the 'calm before the storm' of Easter crowds?

Terrific! I do hope it's the calm before the storm, since we arrive on 4/12 and will be at BLT through 4/17, then moving to SSR until the 20th! See you there, "neighbor"!

Have a drink and then watch the fireworks from the Top of the World Lounge instead of from the walkway. The Lounge is beautiful, staff is great and the dessert trio is delicious. The view from inside the Lounge or out on the viewing balcony can't be beat.
