Well, a few things...Overall, a great trip with a few exceptions. We stayed at All Stars Sports..WILL NEVER AGAIN! We arrived in Orlando around 12:30 and didn't get our luggage delivered to the room until 6:00 p.m. and almost missed our ressie at the Biergarten in Germany.
The staff had a I don't care attitude and was very slow. We have stayed at Pop in the past and never had any issues and unfortunately, we couldn't this time because of the availability w/the free dining offer. The busses took FOREVER to pick us up. Sorry, but we won't stay here again. Just didn't have a good time there. Oh, well.
The rest of the trip was pretty darn good with Ike hovering over us we only got rained on once and that was the last full day there. Also, managed to get some pool time in as well.
We saved $368.07 between my hubby and me with the free dining! WOWOWOWOW!
We ate at some very good places too! Yes, did manage to get Le Cellier in for lunch. Delicious! Would defintely do that one again.
We also tried 50's Prime Time and loved it. DELICIOUS FOOD!!! Hey, got any recipes for the collard greens???? WOW! Oh, went to Downtown Disney and ate at Wolfgand Pucks Express for dinner twice counter service)...YUMMMY! We had the pizza and spaghetti entrees. Will go back there of course! Good food and we highly recommend!
We were a little dissapointed in the fireworks display at the Halloween party. We went a couple years ago and felt it was much better. The fireworks then at the party in (think it was 2005) went all around the park and just stopped half way this time. That was a highlight for us on that trip. We love Halloween more than Christmas (went to the Christmas party last year...a little too cold for us for Florida! LOL) and just love Halloween much better. Maybe it is us, but is there anyone else out there that thought this way too?
I wonder if they will be offering the free dining again next year, it saved us soooooo much money as well as those w/families.
We did the rope drop last Monday for DHS and got on TSM three times that day. Didn't have ANY issues at all waiting. We were totally surprised.
Well, we ARE having DISNEY WITHDRAWLS and will have to wait another year before going back.
Oh, we got some rice crispy treats for our "snack" for the way home at DHS at one of the shops (The writers stop or something) and they were HUGE!! I would definitely say it measured around 3 x 6 with a layer of chocolate. So, as to say...ALL of our Disney goodies are gone by now.
I CAN'T WAIT TO GO BACK AGAIN!
