We did 3 days at DL and DCA. One thing I learned, the parking structure opens 30 mins before park opening (I had conflicting reports), so the plan to try out Hydroguy's Nemo EE strategy failed, we waited about an hour in line, but that was mainly because the ride didn't open until 30+ minutes after the park opened. My wife took our daughter to ride Alice while I waited and chatted with a nice family from Northern California. I think it was worth it, but I've always been a big fan of the subs.

Our best day was on Monday, the crowds were low and using fast passes and shorter lines, we did everything we wanted to do and more. I'll probably be posting photos in the photo board once I get those off the camera and re-sized for the web. The CM's were all wonderful as usual, with a few that stood out. I'll be sending Guest Relations a nice letter about those. My only complaint is the smoking area right by the Tomorrowland station. It is very poorly placed IMO.

IASM did break down while we were on it, we were the first boat in line that did not get evacuated, but they were merciful and turned off the music. Dumbo was also down all day on Thursday.

My 2 yr old daughter loved everything, but we're pretty sure her favorite ride is Pirates, just like her daddy :)

THANKS FOR THIS INFO!

LOWER CROWDS & COLLECTION OF FPs ARE A GOOD THING. :thumbsup2

OF COURSE IT IS! pirate:

Glad you had a good time. :thumbsup2

Glad you got to ride Nemo eventually. Arriving by car at DLR has its drawbacks. See

Hidden Time Losses When Using a Car At DLR
www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1381580

We couldn't walk, since we weren't staying close to DLR, but a bit further north. It wasn't that bad of a wait, and the low crowds on Monday made up for the time loss. Our daughter is also 2, which means car seat, and we only got the Disney stroller (free via Disney visa!) once, the rest of the time we just decided to use our stroller. The line to get in wasn't bad since they opened up another line and we jumped in, but then some stupid guests in front of us already used their EE day and the CM had to explain to them they only get one, so that slowed us down as well. I only got tripped up because of conflicting information from DLR about the time the parking structure opens. I think your strategy would totally work though, just failed for us due to numerous circumstances, but if I was staying onsite or close enough to walk we probably would have been on the first set of subs at the dock.
