hi, got home last night from birthday trip to DLRP, back to work today, kids back in school.
parks very quiet thurs and friday, rides so quiet we could stay on, stayed on pirates 3 times in a row, could have been more times if we wanted. most rides were a walk on, buzz, phantom manor. rode thunder mountain in the dark which was fantastic.
hoilday inn was fine, rooms bigger than I expected, bit bigger than the kyriad last year, great deal for great price. :teeth:
went into paris on saturday, caught the metro in, then caught the open top bus tour, very easy to do, saw mona lisa, went up eiffel tower.
christmas theming in the park was as lovely as ever, tree looks gorgeous.
the bonfire spectacular was great, although it started later than advertised and it was very cold.
the four of us had our one year extension to our AP's, the woman in the AP office was very impressed, so we are going back again next year :thumbsup2

Welcome back.. :) .I was just wondering HOW COLD was it ? :confused3 We will be going on the 26th of Dec. and I'm trying to decided how much winter stuff to take...

Martina,

We have been during December twice and both times it was freezing. We wore tights under jeans, thermal vests (fron peacocks), fure linned boots and thick, waterproof, fur lined coats plus hat, scalf & gloves.

The thing is that you can be stood in queues for long periods of time and out in any bitting winds for hours on end. The only time you get warm is when eating indoors.

Having said that, I would not change my Christmas visits for any other destination.

My advice is to prepare for the coldest of temperatures and anything warmer is a bonus.

You will enjoy the experience cos its MAGICAL. pixiedust:

Slinky, wea re staying at The HI too this Christmas. Glad to hear it is worth the money. What were the breakfasts like ? I'd love to see any pics of the hotel if you have any. :thumbsup2

Sarah, have you had a look at this thread about the HI? You can also find it in the Hotel FAQ sticky :)

Welocme back Claire....great news that you have got your passes extended. Sounds as though you had a great time, and being able to stay on POTC for repeat rides..that's my idea of heaven! Big difference to Halloween week when it was so busy!
