We had a fabulous time! We loved the hotel! We had no problem w/cleanliness at all. I was disappointed that I couldnt get the building I requested, which was 14. We ended up w/28. They said they had a room available right then in 28 or we could wait for a building in 16. I took building 28. Yes we had a short walk to both the bus stop and the food court/main building. It was however very manageable. We didnt get any of the towel animals :(, but our mousekeeper did do a great job in our rather messy room w/cleaning up and arranging the kids toys. I only wish we had more time to enjoy the hotel. We only got to the pools twice...once to the quiet pool, and once to ole man island, but both times were late at night. We also never got to take the boat to downtown disney. We did eat at the food court 2 or 3 times. We found the food to be very reasonable, w/plenty of choices, and we all liked everything we got there. Oh btw, the bakery doesnt make the pralines anymore...I was a little disappointed to hear this, as I was looking forward to trying them, but in the long run it worked out, as I only gained 3 pounds while on vacation for 9 days!!! Feel free to ask any questions you may have about this resort. Im hoping to back again in 2005 and probably will stay here again, though I would like to try a deluxe.

It sounds like you had a great trip. I was disappointed about the pralines too! They said that if I wanted to order a large batch the chef might make some up for me. Being that I had never tasted them and had only heard how good they were, I didn't want to order a batch. By the way, 3 pounds in 9 days is great. I haven't even gotten on the scale since I got back because I'm sure I won't be happy with what I see.

Did you get to see Bob Jackson at the River Roost? He was really entertaining.

Thanks for the report!

Glad to hear your enjoyed your stay, I am really looking forward to staying there in September.
How did you find the bus service? There seems to be some complaints about it lately.

We briefly saw and heard him our last night there...Saturday. I was dissapointed that we never got to see the whole show. I was scared to step on that scale myself, but I had been losing some weight before I went on vacation and wanted to see how much backwards I had gone. I was hoping all the walking and sweating helped, and I guess it did.

Bus service? Ummm it was ok. We rarely had to wait long at the west depot at the hotel for a bus to show up. We did have one morning, when there were a ton of people there all waiting for the magic kingdom bus...so we ended up not on the first one, and the 2nd one did come pretty quickly, but then broke down on the way. It did seem like alot of times we did have to wait at the park for awhile for a bus...but then we were tired, and hot from a long day at the parks at that point and it may have just seemed like a longer wait. The other complaint I had was that Port Orleans bus stops at the parks was the last one....so it was quite a walk to get too, and it was awful if you would see the bus there becuase you would run to try to not miss it. There were many times though that we would just get to the stop and bus would pull right up. All in all it really wasnt bad.

How were the rooms in Po were you in riverside? we are going to be there from Feb 1 thru the 11th . We booked thru shades of green and was wondering if they were giving us a fair deal.

We stayed in the alligater bayou section. The room was fine. I liked the rustic look of it. I was worried that the room would be too small for us being a family of 5, but we had plenty of room. Actually my 14 year old slept in the trundle bed most of the time, and hes taller than me. He was comfortable in it. Of course we also didnt spend much time in the room. We basically just slept there.
