We got back from WDw on Thursday , July 24th. For once we decided to do WDW on the cheap. (me, Dw and 2 DS's ) It worked until Dw got into her shopping mode. Anyway. we drove the costs including meals , hotels, and gas was.. 455.56 for 4 days on the road round trip. We ate the compilmentary breakfasts, snacked for lunch on the move, ate fast food twice for lunch and stopped for dinner each of the 4 days. So we saved proabably 500 dollars by driving.

We stayed at the All Star Sports the tennis section. We rented a fridge, so the total was 503.00 for 6 nights. ( AP discount incl.) We bought a mini- microwave with us and ate all our meals .. except for 2 dinners in our room. We shopped at the Publix... spent 110.00 in groceries. We went to the Luau dinner at the Polynesian..$ 177.00 .. but right after they fed us... they cancelled the show because of the huge lightning storm... but we saw like half the show too!! got a refund!!! .. We decided to eat at Mama Melrosa's for the Fantasmic Package to get into the show without a wait,. We strolled in at 845pm and got a nice seat on the right side of the amphipheter.... dinner plus tip was 124.00$ We had annual passes already paid for for the parks.

We decided to buy water and cold stuff in the parks spent like 160.00 for that. not including the stuff Dw bought ( I never ask , I am too scared to see)..lol.. We spent 839.00 $ for six nights at WDW. oh yeh i forgot we did mouse sprites for a hour 80 bucks with the AP discount. So it would be 919.00 bucks.

The stay was nice. We went to all the parks, went to Typhoon Lagoon one afternoon. Our 17th wedding anniversary was on July 20th. I suprised her with a Gift of a Lifetime thingie for $165.00. She was surprised.... although pricey worth every penny to see DW cry for joy. We had a nice time... I am a Type A type of guy and DW is the total opposite. We had a great time because I did not do "Commandio tactics... Prolly a lesson learned. We are going back either in Feb or April for DS's marching band.

Sounds like you guys had a great trip. Hope the microwave police dont see your thread or you be in trouble, lol.
I have wanted to do the sprites every visit and it seems like we never have time to. I cant drag myself out of the parks ;)

Sounds like you all had a great time!

I have a question... was Typhoon Lagoon crowded in the afternoon?

Sounds like you had a great time. Thanks for all the economizing tips too! :)

Rita Z.... Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach were both closed until 1:30 -2:00 pm because of over capacity. We went at 215pm and tons of people were filing out. and we parked right in front .. right next to the entrance when 4 lobster skinned people pulled out their parking space. We stayed until 5:30 pm a perfect time to go.. when the sun is not as intense and the water cools you off after a morning of the parks and you have had lunch already..

Sounds like you all had a wonderful trip!!!!

Sounds great, Joe, a nice trip, lot of things, and not too expensive. Nice to see you back.

Joe, thanks for the reply. That sounds great! We will be there next week and we may just do the same thing that you and your family did.;)

Welcome back, Joe! Glad you had a great time, AND saved a wad of cash! I'm convinced that budget vacations can be as much fun as expensive ones.
