Got AP rate where do I upgrade park hopper pass before checking in?

You can upgrade the passes at DTD Guest Services as well. No worries!:D

Provided they are still open when you arrive that is ;)

Another note, if you've used that park hopper you won't be able to upgrade unless it was used less than 7 days prior. If it was used and you've used a plus option off it, you can only upgrade to a Premium Annual Pass. They don't provide the cash value of a used park hopper to the purchase of a new annual pass. They will upgrade a newly used one, and back-date the AP to the date the park hopper was used. If this is an unused parkhopper, they will then credit the value of the one purchased to the new AP.

Hi - just a quick question. You can upgrade? I bought a 6-day UPH a couple months ago, and booked with the AP rate. I was going to go buy a whole new pass, and just use the 6 day UPH for the next trip. I don't need to do this? I can just pay the difference and get my current 6 day UPH to an AP? That would be great!

momofmikey, you are correct. No need to buy a whole new pass. Just take your pass to DTD and tell them you want to upgrade to an AP. They will figure out the difference, and you pay it! Voila, AP in hand :p

I have a 5 day hopper with 4 pluses that I bought from ticketmania. And I have not used it yet. Will Disney upgrade that to a Annual pass or do they only upgrade hoppers that were purchased through Disney?

They should upgrade that as well. When I upgraded, I had purchased my pass thru AAA. No problems upgrading to a PAP. HTH

Yes, you can upgrade, but you will not get credit for the entire amount you paid for the hopper ticket. Disney will only give you credit for the amount that Tickemania paid Disney for the ticket (wholesale price), so you will be "forfeiting" the markup Ticketmania added. The details of purchase are encoded onto the back of the ticket in the magnetic strip, so that's how Disney knows what you paid and who sold the ticket.

My advice is to find out the amount of the credit before you upgrade (just ask the CM at the booth) and then decide if you still want to upgrade. It might be a better value for you to buy the AP and keep the hopper purchased from Ticketmania for a future trip.

Enjoy your trip!

Ah, but you've only told half of the story. What you described is the situation that occurs if you are looking to apply the entire amount you paid for the PHP toward an AP. But tickets used prior to that can be upgraded, too.

If it is a used PHP and the first use was more than 7 days prior, the person would get a credit for the dollar value of the remaining unused major park admission days that will then be applied towards the purchase price of the AP (yes, they can get a regular AP after the 7 day window even if they have previously used plus options). Any unused plus options would be forfeited in the upgrade to an AP.

Guest Services is on the West Side. I don't know if there's one in the marketplace.

Buet when you go to the west side, go towards planet hollywood, and just keep walking back toward the water. It's at the bottom of the tower with the "WEST SIDE" in neon lights.

Yes there is. It is right next to Once Upon A Toy.
