Got AOA Free Dining!!!

Thank you! I still cant believe she went out of her way to call me back! We cant wait to stay at the new resort and free dining is even better.

I so badly want to stay in a suite there but I am booked at pofq and if I have to upgrade my qsd to dp it will cost be 1000 more. I would sure love the extra space but payer to u[grade 3 disney adults is so expensive.

(Mom & mom-in-law too since they're both funny about hotel/resort rooms so they'll be at piece of mind knowing they're in new rooms, my mom said she'll even feel comfortable walking in the room in bare feet! LOL) :rotfl:

That's great! We'll be there on 9/15 (the opening day of the LM section) and I keep telling people how nice it will be to not have to worry about toilets that might not have been cleaned as thoroughly as they should've and showers and floors (especially the bathroom floors) and the whole bed spread issue and all that. I'm so ecstatic!!! :cool1:

I also love the clean aspect!! I check into a Little Mermaid room on the 16th and though there might be someone in my room for one night, really how dirty can they be for one night? LOL

The showers/tubs are my thing too - especially since I have little ones who need baths still. And the bed speads - yes I agree with that too!!

We too will be staying at the AOA in the Little Mermaid section with Free Dining (upgraded to regular dining) for Sept. 25 through Oct. 4. It took numerous phone calls per day over a two week period to finally get it. While I am very excited about staying in a brand new hotel in brand new rooms, I am a bit worried about the crowds. After reading the many many threads about people staying there during that time frame, I have a feeling the hotel will be extremely crowded. However, I will still enjoy my time there. Hoping to run into some disers there.

I think I will roll across the carpets just because I can ! lol Nothing better than a new room !:goodvibes

It may be busy, but not as busy as peak season may be. September is generally a slower time so we aren't too worried! Our family is overly ecstatic with staying in these BRAND NEW rooms! We feel like royalty..Lol. :cloud9:

I'm starting to get nervous about crowds too. I keep thinking anybody that would normally be at another value will now be at AoA making the resort overcrowded. Keep wondering if I'll find myself saying "should've stuck to POP".

I'm so tempted to switch to arriving on the 15th instead of the 25th for the 100% new room factor. My baby can crawl on the floor and take a bath. LOL
It's also ends up being $300 cheaper just because it's Sept and not Oct.

I wonder which would be busier? First LM opening week or 10 days after opening?

Would love to see you there... :thumbsup2

:goodvibes I will be the crazy redhead with 4 kids running circles around me at all times. LOL
I think I will keep a look out at airfare. I already have our tickets, so I need to switch my airfare and hopefully there will still be availability to switch dates at LM, too.

Why can't I just make my plans and stick with it?! :rolleyes1

LOL

I managed to get our five room changed over to AOA Little Mermaid rooms:thumbsup2 . I had booked through CAA so I had to get her to change it over but one of the rooms was booked seperately so we had to wait to transfer that over. They said that would take up to 6 days so we cancelled that one and just made a new one. After all that was done the TA phoned disney and the CM said there was no availibility :headache: . Thankfully she phoned right back to check again. Different CM no problem getting the rooms:banana: .

We are not going to tell the kids. They'll still think that we are going to ASMo until we get to the resort or atleast ME:rolleyes1 . I can't wait:yay: . Two of my DD are mermaid obsessed so they are going to be so happy.

Just wanted to post that by the time I got around to switching my reservation at AoA from Nemo to LK today in order to add free dining --- the Nemo suites were added to the promotion! :woohoo:

I'm so excited, this is the design I like best, closest to buses, food court and french fry pool ;) and all location seem to have a good view!

Maria :upsidedow

Going from 9/22-9/30. I was at Pop, then switched over yesterday to the Little Mermaid. There were no issues at all making the switch, called and it was done instantly. It cost $40 or so more for the trip (?!), but I figured it was worth it.

My daughter will be 4 and will go crazy being able to stay with Ariel. Hopefully it won't be too crowded with everybody switching to the new place, but I figured the positives way outweigh the negatives. Looking forward to seeing what the new place is like!

It cost us the same to switch...I was wondering if that side of the lake is in the different tax zone like the All Stars.

I hope your daughter has a magical trip! My 18 yo daughter is crazy jealous that we're staying in the LM rooms. Ariel is her favorite princess and she's dressed up as Ariel several times. We have a big family trip next year and I think I'm gonna be in trouble if we don't book at AoA! :rotfl:

Me too. I am begining to think I should switch back to POP. I will be ok, if they have plenty of buses going.

Honestly, how many people who aren't on the Disney boards or aren't true Disney resort afficionados are even going to know much about AoA?

Even if/when AoA ads or promotions start being show on tv or more prominently on the website, how many people will take time out of their busy Disney day to go to a resort not their own that doesn't have a table service restaurant?

DH and I switched from Pop to AoA and we definitely would have gone to check out AoA if we couldn't have switched, but only just to walk around to scope it out as a possible location for our next trip, not as a day-trip location.

If AoA busses get too busy, maybe we'll walk over and take the bus from Pop! ;):rotfl:

I know, I keep trying to tell myself most people probably don't even know about AoA but thats all you see on here so it's hard thinking about the people that aren't on these boards. Not to mention, I've seen many people post that when they call to make their reservation the CM's bring up the fact that they can now stay at AoA. We'll just have to wait and see I guess. And yes, if I were staying at POP I would walk over and take aa peek at AoA but at any other resort I wouldn't be one to go out of my way to see it.
