Got all the ADRs I wanted even calling an hour late

I called today at 7:12 am and was going to be on hold for over 30 minutes. I couldn't do that so I called at 8:10 when I got to work. I got every ADR I wanted for my Aug 2 - Aug 10 Trip:

Whispering Canyon Cafe
Teppan Edo
Yak & Yeti
Cape May Cafe (Dinner)
50's Prime Time Cafe
Le Cellier
Boma (Breakfast & Dinner)
'Ohana (Dinner)

Gonna be frank here - I think there is a skewed perception on just how hard it is to get ADRs. Perhaps because we hear more negative experiences than positive on DIS, which is just the nature of the human beast. To hear some posters talk, it's like planning the D-Day landing at Normandy, with the same amount of risk.

Not belittling anyone, mind you, but I think most people do just fine, and get what they want. Thanks for the positive report!

I agree with you. Most restaurants are easy to get into. We planned a spur of the moment trip in march and got all of our ADR requests for the weenend 2 days before hand. There are a select few restaurants that are very hard to book with little notice

1. Le Cellier
2. Chef Mickey's
3. 'Ohana

The others are relatively easy as long as you are not there during Free Dining or Christmas/Easter/T-Giving.

I have to agree with this. KNOCK ON WOOD!!!!!

I've never had a problem making ADR's and even have made some at the 60ish mark including LeCellier and CRT and didn't have a problem. But I also don't go during free dining, the summer or holiday weeks.

Hpping for the same thing come November (for my February/March trip)!!

So when you call do you just ask for any day of your vacation or do you go day by and ask for specific places on specific days? Just wondering?

You need to have your dates/times ready when you call to book your ADR. I always have alternative times already written down too just in case I can't get my first choice.

I got up at 6am on Sunday to get mine as well, and got everything we wanted. We'll be there Aug 1-8. Here's where we'll be!
