Hi - Wanted to share my good luck. I am heading down next week for a short halloween/food and wine long weekend. I decided on this trip about a month ago but DVC was booked solid for studios (no studios for any nights for weeks straight). And I was booked at the Pop Century (which is fun, too but its no DVC for sure). I did however, spring for a preferred room.
Well just my luck today I called and was able to get a studio at AKV jambo for 3 nights. So instead of staying at the Pop, we'll be at the AKV in a nice studio with a fridge, a balcony and a deluxe resort (yippee). MS said it was the only studio avail.
I had been on 2 waitlists that went nowhere. So I started calling a few times a week and every day or so for the past week (before AKV came through the best I had heard was a studio for 1 night in the middle of my stay at SSR).
So I wanted to share this for everyone to continue to be hopeful and positive about getting what you need for your family and trips. When you call, you never know what you get, especially if you are flexible (resort and view, dates) and diligent. Love the DVC!

That is great news. I agree that persistance with making reservations pays off. AK is a great resort so have a wonderful time. Thanks for sharing!
