I got into work this morning to find an e-mail from Expedia stating that my United flight had been changed. Heart Attack!!:( I logged on to find that our return flight changed (MCO to IAD), and we have to leave ten minutes earlier. :p Thank heavens. Although I've been told that an airline in bankruptcy is no big deal, I've heard that United is pretty deep in "you know what".

Well at least we now have 55 minutes to catch our flight home from IAD as opposed to 40!

I don't know how they'll be while in bakruptcy, but right after 9/11, when they cancelled so many flights, they were great about rescheduling us at our convenience. We were slated to travel Thanksgiving weekend and had been forced to initially book a flight home on Monday morning because the prices were so prohibitive on Sunday. Our Monday flight was cancelled, and they switched us to the Sunday flight that we had originally wanted. I hope they keep up the good customer service...we're always had great luck with them in the past, although we haven't flown them in quite a while...they used to match prices with ATA but haven't done so lately.

We flew United home from London and they changed the departure time by *one minute* and cancelled our seat assignments. Tried to give us middle seats in different parts of the plane. We eventually were seated together, but it was a struggle.

Any time there is a slight change in departure time, it pays to check and make sure you still have your seats.

Thanks for the tip Alvernon. I called to confirm flights. Everything is in order. I had a VERY helpful rep. at United. She said that they update and make changes on the 8th of every month and that I should call just before our trip.

On two of the four flights they have us three on one side and one across the aisle, but the other two flights are on puddle jumpers which are two on one side, one on the other. At least we won't have any window arguments on those two flights. ;)

I've booked with Expedia 3 times now... and have received one of those "scary emails" each time! Only once did we actually have to change to another flight because the 10 minute time change impacted a connector flight... The email sure does scare the heck out of you though! :D
