I was at work today and I got a phone call from DS Adams school, to say he had had a bump and someone had accidently broken his (leg) of his glasses, (i got such a fright when I heard leg:scared1: , but then she added glasses) the teacher said he was ok but very emotional as he can not see very well at all without them. When I went to pick him up at home time we went straight to the opticians, luckily they had the same frame in stock for him so they transfered the lenses to a new pair:thumbsup2 . He has been left with a slightly black eye poor liitle soul:hug: ,

I just got such a fright when the school phoned me:scared1:

Thare is nothing worse than that phone call from the school :scared1: glad he is ok

poor adam, hope he is feeling better

OMG I would have heard leg and freaked too :rotfl2: When Ellie was in Reception she fell in the playground, she split her face open and ended up having surgery and 5 stitches  I hate when the school phones!!!!!

Poor you.
DD only just started school in January so luckily I havent had one of those calls yet.
However, today after school was a nightmare.
We are not quite off school property when the drawstring on DD's raincoat gets caught in the railings of the bridge she is running across and wham she is slammed into the railings. She has the imprint on her face and cried heaps!
After that we are leaving M&S on the way to swimming and as I'm putting the trolley back she's playing next to the automatic doors and Ive warned her once but oh no! her hand is caught between the wall and the sliding door!
Ouch ! She screams the place down at the sight of the blood. Needless to say no swimming tonight, mcdonalds instead to cheer her up!

OMG!!! Guys - what a crazy day for you both!!!   Hope tomorrow is better for your little ones - and you... :goodvibes My baby (DS14) broke up from school today and cheerfully revealed a horrific bruise all down the back of his leg from playing hockey - I had a rant but he calmed me down... Funny how times change, eh..?

Awww Poor little mites.
I hate getting the call from school, especially when they say "she's been sick and doesnt look very well" all kinds whizz through your head.

DD whos 8 was playing with friends the other day,one of them was playing with a very hard football he whacked it right into DD'S nose,Cue LOTS of blood and tears, luckily she was fine. the sight of blood freaks me out sadly.
