Got a postcard today

I received a postcard in the mail today for the Animal Kingdom Lodge-$129.00 a night and up. I figured the $129.00 was probably for a standard view and probably wouldnt sleep 5 people. I believe it was good through 8-24 and we are going in September. I have gotten a postcard every year for the last 4 years but they dont always work for me. I see a lot of people on here who never get one. I wonder what the deal is with that, if they are just mailed randomly or what.

I was wondering the same thing? Who gets postcards? Do you have an AP? or have you ever had one? Are you registered on some sort of Disney mailing list? I would love to get in on some of these postcards --but if it requires luck --thats something I don't have any of!!!!!!

I have never received one and am a DC member. I've heard and read on these boards that they are totally random.

Never got a post card, but $129 for AKL is pretty good.

I also received one that was addressed to me. Since we always use DH's name when making our ressies, including our AKL trip in Dec, using a postcard rate of $134, addressed to DH, I was surprised to see my name on it. The only thing I could think of is that I ordered the WDW vacation video on their website, in my name.
