it appears to say that I need to book a 5 night stay. We only have 3 nights that we can stay. Anyone have any luck getting them to be flexible on this?

No, haven't heard of anyone having luck on this.

It is how Disney can make their money back by giving this to you. The more days you stay they more time they have to get $$ from you.

Simple tactic.....and it works with us!! LOL

Yes the year before last we only stayed 3 nights. I booked through general reservations.

Double-check the details of the offer. They may list a "sample" 5 night stay with a lower actual purchase requirement in the fine print. Or not. But it's better to check to make sure.

My pin had 5 night in the examples but said 'Be sure to ask about other lengths of stay when you call to book'. I had a 3 night stay booked and I was able to get the free dining (dates are 6/3-8/13/11.

Most offers like this the minimum is 3 nights.
As pp stated the 5 nights is just a marketing example trying to breakdown the cost per person.

You should be able to use it for the three nights. But the one night would have to be a separate package or room only booking. (Since they are not 4 consecutive nights.)

Most of the USA offers are 3 nights minimum and 14 nights maximum. The 5 nights is probably just an example.

Usually, the 5 nights is only an example. The general minimum stay for free dining is 3 nights. You can probably get it for the 3 nights before, but not for the 1 night after, as the nights must be consecutive.

My problem was that the PIN they sent me and everybody for that matter is only good until 8/13 and we are going in OCT. Called and they said they may send out more in early may for fall and winter. I hope so. We already booked our trip with the DDP (paying for it) but our agent said she could cancel the one we set up and add the free one if I get a PIN.

my fingers are crossed!!

I hope they do send out more for fall and winter. We are going in Oct and I am really hoping to not have to pay for the dining.

My travel agent, Cissy cissywdwtravel@aol.com was able to score me free dining. Yea CISSY !!!

At first they turned me down, but she worked some magic and got it.

I don't know if this had anything to do with us getting a PIN code, but it came in my wife's name which up until this past month hasn't been the one the Disney junk mail comes to, so I think what I did worked.

I created a new e-mail address for my wife, then I went out to Disney's website and looked at room package rates for our travel dates after creating her as a new user on their website. I set out about 3 different hotel options for the same dates and saved them. About 3 nights later I went in and made some minor modifications (with and without dining, regular and quick service, one extra day on park tickets, etc) Then I saved those offers, but didn't act on them. I logged in one more time after that to look at the offers, then jumped from their website directly to Universal's. After that, I never logged back on to their website with her newly created user ID.

Interestingly enough, Universal sent me a mailer the same day Disney's PIN code offer came through. Probably coincidence, because it was in my name, not my wife's but interesting nonetheless.
