ACK! What am I thinking?? LOL I'm actually really excited I'll be taking catalog orders at a call center for a BIG company! I really liked the atmosphere there, it's very casual, they actually said, "you can wear a baseball hat if you're having a bad hair day!" Now that's my kind of workplace! I haven't worked for 10 months though- routine? What's a routine? Schedule? Foreign words to me! LOL

I did that during the holiday seasons at Brookstone. I loved it!!! I'd love to find something like that again.

I worked in customer service for Spiegel for 9 years. This was in the late 80's-early 90's when the internet was still Prodigy.

I didn't take orders, but listened to the customers complain when things didn't go right. I also work in the fraud dept tracking down unauthorized use of credit cards. We busted a big operation where employees from Lillian Vernon were stealing the credit card numbers from their customers and using them to place orders with Spiegel.

It was an interesting job at times. I spoke with Burt Reynolds once when Lonnie was trying to use his credit card.

I'm sure that you'll have a lot of stories to tell after a few weeks on the job!
