Got a great car on National Emerald Aisle Today!

Our Southwest flight landed around 2:35 p.m. on Saturday 10/28. After picking up our luggage, we went directly to the Emerald Aisle on the A side. I spotted one larger vehicle and made a beeline to it. We snagged a Saturn VUE!

It's so roomy - and especially nice for tall guys. We had plenty of room for our luggage. It's a very comfortable ride. We had a guarantee of an intermediate car - so grabbing this car was a great way to start our trip.

We were very pleased with National today. We actually were driving out of the rental area an hour after our flight landed - which is really good for us.

I have been lucky enough to get a Saturn Vue on the aisle in the past also. It is an extremely comfortable car to drive.

We just returned this weekend and got a Grand Caravan off of the emerald aisle. We are Executive Aisle and was hoping for a bigger vehicle. The Exec Aisle was packed with premium and SUVs, and the Emerald Aisle was equally packed. I spotted the caravan and had to convince hubby that we needed that car, though he wanted something fancier. It had 3 miles on it and smelled of new car...yum. This was the first time in a long time we have seen good choices on the aisles. I called my daughter, who was arriving the following weekend and had her cancel her car rental since we snagged a car large enough for all of us and saved her the $200 fee....of course we had to pick her up from the airport since she swears never again on DME (a bad experience). We zipped up to the airport (about 25 minutes) and picked her and the kids up....no problems and back to WDW for her to check in at the WLV too. However, when my friends arrived on a Friday night, they had only intermediates and a few full sizes to choose from....so you just never know what you're going to find. We arrived at the B side of National on Saturday, 10/15 at 5:30PM. So guess lots of folks had returned earlier that day, but then again, I did get a new car that had never been rented before. We think they were just in for the golf classic that was scheduled for later that week....hmmm.

A few weeks back (10/14) we got a Pontiac Torrent (SUV) Emerald Aisle. We arrived about 2:30 p.m. .......lots of mid size cars available EA, but, the Torrent was the only SUV we saw. It was a nice size SUV, lots of luggage room, all leather interior......we liked it for $153/7 days!!!! We actually made it out of the airport about a half hour after our flight landed. We were pulling into SSR shortly after 3:30 p.m. It's great to have Emerald Club membership......just grab your bags from baggage claim and make a beeline to the garage!!!
