Got a good deal at Justice....hmmm, depends on how you look at it.

I had a printable 40% coupon for everything at Justice for Girls. Normally I avoid that store like the plague since it's so pricey....but at 40% off, I had to at least take a look. Then when we get there, there are big signs all over that say "SPEND $50 AND GET $40 BACK"....even better, right?!

My daughter tried on two different outfits, and when I saw the prices I kept thining "okay it's almost half of that" and on and on we went. When I went to check out, I grabbed a webkinz and a Selena Gomez CD just because I was stupid enough to think maybe I didn't reach the $50 mark yet. HA!

I got two tee shirts, one sweater/jacket thingy, one clearance priced skirt, one dress, and one pack of tights, then the cd and webkinz. Grand Total after the 40% coupon......$105.

Then I get the 2 $25 off $50 cards and 2 $15 off $40 cards to use at very specific times in the future - one set of dates is before Christmas, one is after. Hmmm, that's at least two more trips to the mall which is over an hour each way for me.

Okay - I'm NOT complaining, I DID look at price tags and I CAN do simple math. It must be the continuous Justin Beiber music they play in there messes with the part of your brain that does rational thinking!! I felt like I got duped, even though I was a very willing participant. I should walk around all day with a big L on my forehead today. Ha ha!

LOl - funny. DD keeps wanting to go in and it looks so inviting in there.....sort of like when Snow White receives the apple.....

One of my friends dd's had a nice dress on in a picture...I commented how pretty - and my friend says it's Justice and it was a 'great deal' - then proceeds to tell me it was $60. This was back when our dd's were pretty small and a 'dressy' dress like that one was only worn once or twice before outgrown. A third friend was nearby who answered for me so I didn't have to 'ummm....she doesn't consider that a good deal.'

:)

Thank goodness dd (7 in 3 days) likes clothes from kmart and Target AND places like this still....At some point in the future I am SURE she will be more brand specific - but then she'll have a LOT less to choose from as I will likely spend about the same amount of $$ on her clothes.

My DSis shops at Justice for my DNiece but only because she is built a little bigger and has to where half sizes and they have them. She does admit tho that it is a little pricey but she says she would rather her daughter have stuff that cost a little more but fits better then cost a little less and fit funny.

It does the same thing to me. I think that "I don't want nobody nobody but you" song (which I hear AT LEAST THREE TIMES EVERY TIME WE GO THERE) has some subliminal messages hidden in it. "Sixty percent of thirty dollars? I bet that's about ten dollars." :rotfl:

I guess I am lucky, I have been in the store a few times and have not bought anything. DD doesn't like the clothes or the store, which is good for me because the store at our mall always smells like garbage.

I actually like the Justice clothes and consider them of decent quality. Anything we buy at Kohls, Target, PS Aeropostal, or Old Navy can never be passed down from kid to kid. The stuff at Justice however has made it through 2 girls and is often still very wearable after both of them are done. A bargain is how you look at something, cheap stuff often looks cheap and lasts for a season before you can't even give it to goodwill anymore. I agree though, best to avoid all the little extras and toys and always use the 40 percent off.

Justice is my dd's favorite store. Thankfully she doesn't mind if I shop off of the clearance racks.

Last year I got her tons of l/s shirts on clearance for less than $2 a piece.

Also sometimes you can find some stuff at Rugged Wearhouse. Just the other day I found dd some shirts for $4 and pants for $5

I'll admit it is pricey if you buy stuff at regular price but if you shop with the 40% off cards its about the same as anywhere else.

I had to laugh when I saw this thread because I've been in this situation many times. My problem with the Justice near me is that when the 40% sale is going on they have zero clearance! So you have to buy the expensive stuff. My dd7 and I were just out yesterday shopping for jeans and pants and we went to Gymboree, Children's Place, Sears, and Justice. She tried on soooooo many pants. She is super particular about fit and they can't be scratchy on the inside. I really wanted her to get pants at Children's Place because they had a whole rack of pants for $4.99 and lots of variety in her size. Well......6 pairs later we gave up because she hated the feel of every pair. We went through this at several other stores and decided to finally go to Justice because we had the 40% coupon. She tried on several Justice pants and she liked most of them, hallelujah! The ones she thought were the most comfortable and we ended up buying were the knit "jeggings". We tried the jeggings at the other stores and they all got the thumbs down:confused3. It was a long day at the mall, so I was just happy we found something.

Wow, I always pass stuff down from Kohls and Target and even old Navy (barely buy from there unless on a good sale) from my child to other children. I am picky on what my child wears and if it is not something that I would let her wear (too worn or faded looking, etc) than I won't pass it on. We have only bought a couple of things from Justice and they cannot be passed on. One shirt I bought my older DD faded really bad in the first wash as well as started separating at the seams. I took it back and even the replacement faded. I bought the same shirt for her friend and the same issue. We no longer have one locally as it went out of the mall. We did recently get a Children's Place and they had some really good deals today so my younger one got some new things.

Justice is the only store basically that my DD (7) will shop. Don't know where she gets the clothes snob attitude. :rolleyes1

We never shop there unless there is a 40% off coupon. I feel $17.00-19.00 for pants and $12.00-17.00 for a shirt isn't all that expensive. But I guess thats all subjective.

I like most of their clothes. Some I feel are too old for her and then we just don't buy them. I love her Christmas dress, we already bought for this year. She got some cute sweatsuits and even a pair of Steeler bling pants.

My pet peeve with them is they never get enough of the smaller sizes. They get one or two of the size 8 and 10's and when they're gone , thats it. So if you're not there basically when the stuff is put out then you're out of luck. Seriously who stll shops at Justice that wear an 18 and 20.?

Sadly even younger kids will sometimes need the bigger sizes. I have a kid in my afterschool program who is only 6 and already wears a size 14, so sadly she will need the 18/20 sizes before she outgrows the Justice stage.

The reason they may have limited 8's and 10's is probably because that's a more popular size and therefore already picked through.

Seriously? plenty of people. My 11yo daughter does and is in that size range. To me most of the clothes are to grown up looking for my 6yo and are more appropriate for my 11yo.

This. I think the same thing - looking a at a cami with a built-in bra and thinking "why does this come in size 8?"

Actually, my DD8 wears these and needs the built in bra. She wears them under an open sweater/cardigan. She's an average girl and plenty of girls in her class seem to have that problem at this age.

The cami solves the problem for those who are too small to wear a bra yet.

I haven't had any Justice catalogs come to my house lately & my dd is itching to spend her store credit in there.

We have an outlet 10 min from me & my dd knows we won't buy unless there is 40% off. A few times I have been there & asked if I can come back with my receipt the next day with my 40% coupon & they just give it to me right then & there (phew).

As for the cami's with the built in bra. I don't mind them one bit. My dd usually wears a tank top under alot of shirts just because many shirts are thin. If she doesn't wear a full tank she will wear a half tank like she wears for soccer (aka a sports bra).

And someone mentioned that onlly Justice clothes can be passed on to other siblings. I have had to return a few Justice clothes or throw them away because they were made so poorly.

Agreed. DD9 needed something at 8, not so much for support but for smoothing...

We were there 2 weeks ago at 40% off the whole store. We had never bought their stuff new at the store before. I got DD just turned 12 a cool t-shirt for $1.79 and a couple of camis (size 16) for $7-something. I had been trying to pick her up some womens XS camis at the thrift, but they all ran too short. The Justice ones were nice and long. DD could easily wear 18 and 20 tops there. She is still more in that style than the juniors stuff.

I usually pick up a lot of Justice/Ltd 2 at the thrift.

I guess I'm just surprised than an 8 yr old would wear a size 8, then - I picture those on 6 yr olds! :) I've seen some teeny tiny girls shopping at Justice.
