Got a Cricut

I just got a Cricut Expression the other day and put it up in my scrap room today. I made my first project, a tag. I'm a bit nervous about using the thing because I have no idea what all it can do, but I'm sooo excited to start using it for swaps eventually. Life will get so much easier not having to trace and cut every little thing.
It came with the Plantin cartridge, but I can't wait to start adding to my collection, especially the Disney ones! How do I get used to the different things it does? Just take some scrap paper and start punching buttons???

Ohana that is exactly what I did. i was so nervous when i first opened it that i had no clue. mine sit in the box forever before i even took it out of the box.
have fun with it. sometimes i still have to really think about it before i cut it out.

Oh, I'm so glad I'm not the only one. I thought I had some Cricut phobia or something. I bought it on Sunday and just now opened it and set it up this afternoon. And I look at it and look at it. I know it'll be so much fun once it becomes second nature, but until then, it's a foreign object in my scrap space

I would suggest going to www.Cricut.com and check out their message boards. They have a separate forum for each cart and they have tons of ideas.

love the flip button. I needed some backpacks facing the other way and this was nice!

The little bug didn't freak me out as much as the Expressions did. I still haven't used half the features it has. They scare me. Although I have used the flip. Worked great for making palm trees to line both sides of a photo mat.

Could you please tell me which cartridge has a palm tree? I'm doing my honeymoon album and I would love to us my cricut for tropical stuff!
