Ok, so my friend and I are thinking of flying to Orlando to HHN for two days...

My question is, does the Gory getaway package include tickets for two people to go to the event both nights we are there? (we are staying 2 days)...

If not, do I need to buy some kind of special tickets?

Please any help would help <3

2-Night Gory package is per person.
Starting from only $228* per adult

Two (2) night hotel accommodations at an Orlando Area Hotel
1-Day/2-Park admission ticket and Halloween Horror Nights® Combo** – valid for 1-day admission to Universal Studios®, Universal’s Islands of Adventure® and 1-Night admission to Halloween Horror Nights
One (1) 5” x 7” souvenir photograph
Free access to live entertainment^ at Universal CityWalk®

**This ticket entitles one (1) Guest admission to the Universal Studios Florida® (“USF”) and Universal’s Islands of Adventure® (“IOA”) theme parks for one (1) calendar day on any date PLUS admission to Universal Orlando’s Halloween Horror Nights XIX (19) (HHN) for one (1) event night of your choice from the following 2009 Sunday to Thursday Event Dates: October 1, 4, 8, 11, 15, 18, 21, 22, 25, 28, 29. The HHN Event portion of this ticket is valid for admission to the HHN Event beginning at 6:30pm. Closing times for the HHN Event are to be determined and are subject to change without notice. This ticket allows the guest to visit all parks on the same day (i.e., park-to-park access). Visiting one or more parks on the same day is considered a single day’s use of the ticket. This ticket will be subject to a biometric scan when presented for admission on each entry.

Sounds like a pretty stupid package to me. Why would they want to you to stay 2 nights, which normally works out to 3 days, and only give you 1 day's worth of tickets? I could understand the 1 HHN but why not a 2nd day at the parks? You could do better booking on our own with a local hotel and your own tickets. Take your own pictures and book something decent for a fair price :)

I just did some quick figuring using the high side in all of my calculations. The cheapest gory getaway package is $230/person with 1 day in the parks, 1 night at HHN and 2 nights in a local hotel. That's $460. Doing it on your own, booking a 3-star hotel through Priceline I estimate:

$50/night, which is high (we are staying for $33/nt next week and that includes an $11/nt resort fee) 2 nights = $100

2 1-week unlimited admission passes (which cost the same as a 2-day 2-park) = $200
If you buy those tickets through Universal they also give you a coupon book with all of the extras they talk about in the Gory Getaway deal

2 HHN tickets no discount most expensive night = $140

That comes to $440 for 2 nights hotel, 3 days at US/IOA instead of 1 and HHN. Depending on the 2 nights you are there you could get 2 visits to HHN for less money so it is also better that way.

Neither package tells you how you are supposed to get from the airport to the hotel or from the hotel to the park. Most hotels in the US/IOA area have a free or low price shuttle and if you get lucky with a Priceline bid you could end up across the street from the entrance.

My conclusion is you can do better on your own, especially if you look for hhn discounts. If you have a Kroger in your area, for instance, you can get your park ticket for $90 instead of $100. UPC code from a coke can can get you hhn discounts, etc.
