Has anyone been on the "Gooooooooooooooooooo Clay" thread? I mean, I can understand people being upset that their favorite didn't win the competition, but you would think by the way that they are posting over there that someone had just killed their best friend. Yes, I really did like Clay & think that he has alot of talent -- but they are saying that this was just a popularity contest & that it was fixed because Ruben won & not Clay. It is so sad that a television show has brought out the worst in people. C'mon now guys, both of them will be putting out CD's & I am sure that both of them will do well. I am happy to see that there is no "Clay bashing" going on on this thread.

I have noticed it and almost expected it. I've seen this trend more times than I can count on the CB....

Yay Ruben!

He was just precious tonight after they announced the winner. Just wanted to jump through the TV and give him a big old hug! I don't think he expected to win, but seemed overjoyed when they said his name. He is very humble, and I loved seeing his Mom out in the audience, so proud. I also loved seeing Clay's Mom and Ruben's Mom hugging at the end - they displayed the true spirit of good sportsmanship.

BTW, we have two choices here. We can discuss Ruuuuuuben! and his fabulous win tonight, and how great both of the competitors were, or we can discuss how the CB is an awful place where we fight all the time.

I'm hoping for the former!

Not all Clay fans are bashing Ruben.

I much preferred Clay but it was just a preference. I'm very happy for Ruben and his fans even though I still hate the voting process. I hate it mostly because I got tired of dialing for nothing and I'm sure that both guys didn't get votes because of it.

Atrually, I think Clay got the better deal. Recording contract, same release date as Ruben, and having a lot more freedom than the americal idol will have. But I sure was happy. I really liked both of them, as performers and people, but Ruben's talent was just.... deeper.
