Google!

They always have interesting banner page. I think Pac Man was favorite so far

I just get the regular old Google--what is the theme you are seeing? If you hover over the picture it will pop up whatever it is supposed to be.

You're probably looking at a cached version of the site. If you went in and cleared your cache, you'd most likely see it correctly.

That didn't help either, weird.

It wasn't working for me, either, using Internet Explorer. I just installed Google's Chrome and it works in that browser. Too cute!

PS - I just checked with DH - it works for him in Firefox.

The announcer on the radio was just talking about this and he said he can't get to the bubble either. I have Firefox and can't get to the bubbles on the US version.

I have Firefox too. If you go to the Firefox start page it is just regular old Google. You have to type in http://www.google.com to get the bouncy balls.

I love when Google does special stuff like that!!

I really loved the Pac Man one!

Maybe your Firefox isn't up to date? You can see your version by going to Help -> About Mozilla Firefox

I can see it on 3.6.8, but I have Yahoo edition 1.7 (don't really want a Yahoo version, but I had trouble getting my Yahoo Fantasy Football draft to work), but maybe that makes a difference.

Too cute! I think I read that its Google's 12th birthday! :cheer2:

I'm using IE8 and it worked fine for me. I noticed it today when I went and used my brother's computer (also using IE) while visiting my mom today. It's cute.

It only works with IE8 ... and other modern browsers (Chrome, FF, Safari, etc). I guess there is one company out there who doesn't support (at least not fully) old versions of IE... I hope that trend continues (can you tell I'm a code monkey?)

It's a .PNG file, whatever that means. People need a certain level of Adobe Flash 4 or higher or Quicktime player installed.

Go to US Google page. At the top of your browser, right before the URL address, on the left, is a little blue box that looks like it kind of has a check mark. Click on it. In the grey box, click on "Show Cookies." Clear ALL those cookies for Google. Close Firefox. Wait a couple seconds then relaunch. There may be a corrupted cookie.

I had a similar problem with Gmail not opening correctly, no matter what I tried, until I cleared the cookies that way. Gmail is part of Google. Maybe you have the same problem with the Google page.

Also, if you have the NoScript plugin installed. Check the settings. It might be blocking a script allowing the full site to be seen.
