Now normally I'm the commando type/planner in my family...DM makes the hotel reservations and then basically passes it all on to me to plan the days. Last trip to WDW (2014) we all decided to be pretty laid back and didn't plan much of anything, just took things by ear which was relaxing and worked out well but I found there were a lot of things we normally get to that we ended up skipping.

In fact I was so lax, how the Magic bands worked (they were new to us) and that the Disney experience app even existed was news to me like days before we left, and ended up doing fastpass selections the day of or night before we went to the parks (which also surprisingly worked out fine) but this time I'm trying to be a bit more organized and plan out the days a little more...does anyone have any good google sheets templates or old ones they're willing to post for me (or anyone else) to make a copy of and fiddle around with and save some time? I searched around and could only find links to spreadsheets with lists of the rides, but I'm talking like...days lined up with fastpass, ADR color coding going on.

Thanks!

I didn't take it that far. I did use google docs, but just like a blank note pad, and put everything in that way, so no neat tables. I am interested to see if anyone posts anything though. I am absolutely hooked on using google docs for Disney planning though. The ability to share it to my whole travel party, and allow others to edit, or make suggestions / notes in the documents is perfect.

You can upload any Excel spreadsheet to GD and then open it within GD if you find one you like.

I have an Excel doc that I have tweaked over many years so it works for me but may not be what you are looking to use. It's complicated so I had to simplify it for converting to GD (sfonts, spacing, image rotations, etc were lost in the process) but the basic template/tables are there. For me, I find it useful to see all the information in one place so I can space out ADRs and FP+s (all other rides I list are nearby suggestions to myself, I do leave room for spontaneity). This doc is probably an indication of my recent compulsion to worry about hours cut backs in planning the minutiae. I am just wired that way :)

Here what my excel spreadsheet looks like when completely filled out (no worries, all information is dummy data).

The GD is here and you can copy it using the tab at the bottom.

Hope this helps

You may want to look into the touring plans website. I think you might need the subscription but it is worth it to help with the planning. You put in your desired rides/shows/attractions/restaurants, note if you want plans to decreased walking around the park and then the website helps to formulate a plan based on their pattern of wait times, locations of items and will tell you if your plan will work or if you have tried to pack in too much into one day. I used it for an April trip this year and found it helpful to help keep our desired attractions and a flow through the park so that you are not back tracking going from one side of the park to the other. You can have the website formulate a plan but then make some of your own adjustments to the plan they came up with.
