Google Latitude - Creepy or cool?

It's an application that lets you continuously share your location with your friends, significant other, parents, etc. So does the notion of having others know where you are and being able to see where they are sound creepy or cool?

Personally, I think it will be cool to share locations with my wife. When I'm stuck at the office late, she can easily see where I am without me having to call. When I'm biking to or from work, she can see where I'm at. When I get home and she's at a park with the kids, I can see where she is without having to call.

On the other hand, I can see why people would be really creeped out.

Oof, this sounds like it could have decided stalking complications. As someone who's been the victim of a stalker, I guard my anonymity (and location) fiercely.

I can see both pros and cons, but it does have a sort of Orwellian feel.

The person actually has to start up Google Maps on their phone, as well as allowing people to have access to their phone in Latitudes to begin with. So unless all of a sudden people are asking for people to stalk them, I don't see the big deal.

I sort of like it, because I would like to see where my DD or DH are at any given time. If they want to look for me, I have nothing to hide. So I don't care.
