Don't know if this has been posted before but it is cute. Follow the instructions below.

Try typing in "Miserable Failure" and then hit the I'm Feeling Lucky button.

Suffice to say, the person at Google with the twisted sense of humor must be a liberal Democrat.

Actually if you try 'waffles' , you might have a different feeling, Figment. :)

tricia.

Interesting that they have both ends of the spectrum covered. I wonder what other entries elicit funny responses.

Same idea though, just a different topic. It is not Google's sense of humor, but rather Google bombing, can be engineered for any topic.

Actually, in google bombing the normal results come up as well as the bombed results and the bombing is a result of independant web page builders adding the topics into their search line. The bombed result will come up first in the search results. In the above topic, no results come up other than a tongue in cheek error page about the topic not being found. This is not done by independant web page builders but by google itself.

The "miserable failure" and "waffles" are results of google bombing.

...........The "fun" factor has come into play, too, as some people have manipulated search engine results either for the sheer humor of it or to make political statements — for example, for several months now a spoof 404 page (i.e., a "page not found" error page) has been the top-ranked page in Google when users search on the phrase "weapons of mass destruction."

They are selling shirts and all...............
