Goofy's Kitchen, who did you meet?

Character Meals are so much fun. Good times and good food....

The very first one we went to I didn't allow enough time. I found we missed out on a lot. Now when we plan to go to a character breakfast I allow a minimum of 2 hours. I don't want to be rushed. I found there is so much to enjoy besides the food. It gives us more time to see more characters.

Have the kids autograph books ready! Most of all be sure the camera battery is fresh. There will be sooooo many photo ops. When you sit at the table, keep in mind how you might want the back drop of the photos to look like. And seat the kids accordingly.

Thinking about the back drop is a good idea. Also, and I can't remember if it's an issue at Goofy's Kitchen, but wasn't for us, keep in mind the sun. We ate at Ariel's Grotto twice, and the second time the sun was coming in the window and messed with my pictures. We also had a little guy in a high chair, and if the princess wouldn't bend down, then I wasn't able to do much cropping on the picture.

We went for dinner. We saw:

Snow White
Fairy Godmother

Not as many as some others, but they all spent a good amount of time with us. We even had Chip & Dale and Pluto 'arguing' on our table cloth for awhile, and DS4 adored Snow White surprisingly, so she spend a nice chunk of time with us as well. We'll definitely be going back, especially since our morning park time is so precious (and we're not large breakfast kind of people food-wise), I love the dinner option instead.

It was the first time (i've been to WDW many times) I had ever seen Geppetto greeting guests and not in a parade!

We were in September of 2011 and were among the first breakfast guests of the day. Baloo escorted my daughter to her seat--she loved that...even if she did think he was a giant seal. LOL!

We were there for breakfast last week and we saw Goofy, Chip, Dale, Pluto, Gepetto and Snow White. Baloo was there when we first got there at some other tables but was gone pretty soon after and never came back.

When you guys say "up front" I know that means at the entrance and they don't walk around. My question is .... Can you take pictures with your own camera? That is the thing I can not stand at Chef Mickey's even though it is a statue. Also are there any other Character Dinner meals?

Yes, one of the CMs took a picture of us with Goofy with my phone. There's also character meals at Paradise Pier, Grand Californian and at the Plaza Inn.
