Is that awful B'rer Bear still lurking around Goofy's? We had breakfast there in August 2007. I asked B'rer Bear where B'rer Rabbit was. He pointed to his stomach. I gave him a good tongue lashing and told him to cough up the rabbit immediately. He leaned over to my ear and belched. After that, anytime he would walk by our table he would poke me and run or lean over and belch again. My husband tried to warn him not to mess with me on the subject of bunnies.
Besides telling Donald he needed to wear pants at Chef Mickey's, that was one of the most memorable character interactions we've ever had!
Ooooh! I have never seen that rascal Brer Bear at Goofy's!! From what I understand, I think Brer Fox shows up at Minnie and Friends from time to time, and I think some of the Brer bunch was reported to have appeared at the Critter breakfast at Storytellers in the past (but no recent sightings, though I think that would be a perfect place for them!). Whenever I have been to Goofy's in the last two years, the ones I
always seem to see are, of course, Chef Goofy, Chip, Dale, Pluto and Baloo. They seem to be the 'core group' during my visits, and then there are guest stars who pop in for visits. One time all of those characters were there and Belle was making the rounds as well, and as we were leaving Snow White showed up along with Alice, I believe. On another occasion recently, we had the core five again, along with Aurora, the Prince and Jasmine. Other DIS-ers have gone recently and seen Alice and the Mad Hatter, Fairy Godmother, Minnie, and other characters that I always seem to miss.
In the old days of Goofy's (back in the '90s up to 2000), in addition to the core 5 we would often see Roger Rabbit, Minnie, Tigger, Rafiki, Timon, Meeko, Gadget, Genie, the Beast, Aladdin, Jafar, Captain Hook, the Mad Hatter and others I am forgetting. I think Donald even showed up once or twice in the early days. There were a lot of them back then. They seem to have put a ton of characters over at Minnie and Friends now and Goofy's has a smaller selection. But I still love Goofy's because I am content with the character interaction and I love the food selection and quality.
