So on the last morning of our trip since weren't going to the parks we had breakfast at Goofy's I luved it the food was good and the characters all came to our table. my poor mom suffers from a condition where her hands turn white from the cold. and she asked Chip and Minnie to warm her hands which they did. Next year i want to stay at the Grand california since we haven't stayed there. how do the 2 compare food wise and with characters ' i liked how goofys had pizza too, is teh price the same? Do u get to take a picture before going in. Funny I'm back 2 days and already planning nxt years trip.!!!!

The food is comparable. We thought Goofy's and Storyteller's both had great food. The atmosphere is incredible!! Great looking restaurant. And the character interaction was pretty amazing! When we went last it was Keani (spelling?) from Brother Bear, Pluto, Chip and Dale and even though there weren't many characters they were very interactive and super funny.

No pizza, and the selection isn't as broad as Goofy's but it is super good food. Very high quality.

No picture at the beginning. Boooooo.

Definitely eat there. We try to eat there every trip!

Sounds good I think at goofy we had chip and dale, minnie, pluto and goofy and they came around twice. i would miss the picture at the beginning though, was the price the same. we payed 89 dollars for 2 adults.

I wouldn't say it was comparable. We have just checked out of GCAL . Goofys wins hands down.
The buffet at Storytellers is 1/3 of the size and selection at Goofys.

The buffet at Storyteller's is not anywhere near as large as Goofy's. The characters are more woodland characters (Brother Bear, Chip and Dale, Kenai, etc...) It is also cheaper than goofy's. (I think it is about $28 vs. $38.)

We enjoy the whole experience more at Storyteller's; food, characters, atmosphere.
I agree. There are less food choices, but the food quality is better. The character interaction isn't nearly as rushed as it is at Goofy's or Minnie's. I do Goofy's with my 5yo granddaughter, and SToryteller's when it is my kids w/o grandkids.

Agree that food quality is much better at Storyteller's. Great experience overall and characters will spend some time at each table. Last time we went the Ranger gathered the kids from the tables and (with I think it was Chip and Dale) danced around the room.

No picture at Storytellers.
Neither venue rushed our character interactions. I don't believe food quality was better at Storytellers at all, although the omelette maker was great!

can anyone confirm that storytellers is cheaper than goofy's. do they have fruit and deserts as well?

In the past, we have had desserts. Not as large of a variety as Goofy's but small puddings, pies, cheese cakes..... We generally go Sunday mornings, and the last time we went was in July, so it may have changed.
