We're not staying at DLH but we do have reservations for GK's on our second day there. How far is DLH from Anaheim Desert inn & suites where we're staying. And this is probably a silly question...which I think will be no but can we take the monorail from DLH after breakfast to the park?

You can take the monorail into the park, but it doesnt leave from the hotel. It leaves from downtown disney. Not sure on the hotel to hotel distance. You might try mapquesting it.

The walk from the DLH to the monorail is only a few minutes (2-3 minutes I'd say). It is however only running the one train, because of the Nemo ride. The line can be pretty long getting back in to the park. Most of the time we found it faster to walk back through DTD. Of course that was in July, a very busy time. Maybe the crowds aren't so bad right now to where there won't be much of a line.

As long as you have park tickets, you can use the monorail. It drops you off in Tomorrowland.

OOh we'll be there together! See you then. GK is alot of fun. We aren't gonna do it this year. :sad2: I decided to splurge and stay at the DLH instead. I have no clue about the distance between the hotels though. The walk through DTD can be alot of fun. I love window shopping at least.

Wow we are there the same dates aren't we....so will you have your lime green mickeys??

I went to my local Home Depot and they were all out. But I plan on going again. Do you know if Lowes carries the Disney paint? I am so excited I can hardly wait. I think I may be worse than the kids. Do you have your green Mickey's?

I have a couple but last time I went they were out too. Maybe this area is full of Dis'ers and I just don't know it yet. You aren't too far away either....The one by me has stickers so that makes it easier. Are you flying out of Sac or SFO?

I always drive. We are taking two vehichles. My van and my nieces VW bug. There are 7 of us so flying is alot more for 7. I am gonna check Lowes, and Orchard Supply and I figure there is a Home Depot in Fairfield and another in Vacaville that I haven't checked yet. We are close aren't we. I used to live in Sacramento as a matter of fact I was born there.

I havn't been since 93 and that was a quick one day trip right after I graduated high school. This 5 day trip will be my longest trip ever to DL....I'm so glad we're flying...I can't stand long road trips.
My boyfriend used to work at the Home Depot in Vacaville....he had no idea there was a group of us out there stealing their paint chips haha

I would allow 30 minutes to walk from your hotel to the DLH. It won't take that long to walk it but that will leave you plenty of time to go at a leisurely pace up DTD and also to get through the bag check/security area you will have to go through even though you aren't entering the parks.

We were there in 2004 and that seems like forever to me. You should have a great time. Disneyland is the one place we can all be kids. Where are you staying? We are staying onsite at the DLH and it is the first time for my niece to stay onsite. We are celebrating my Mom's 70 birthday too. I ordered a basket to be delivered to her room. It is a total surprise for her too. She would never do anything like this for herself. Your son should really enjoy it too. I was thinking I may have one of the green Mickey's here I have a 12 year old daughter who loves paint chips. I am gonna check tomorrow.

Sorry dork moment I realize that already established where you are staying.

We are staying at the Anaheim Desert Inn right across the street. I've never been able to stay onsite.....maybe one day. THis trip in itself is a dream come true. I just went through a divorce in 2006 and never thought I'd be able to take my son as a single parent...financially and such. This last year has been a rollercoaster for us....but we're going and we are both so thrilled and grateful that we are going. I will be one tearful mommy watching it through his eyes........that is what I'm truly most excited for. We are going with my sister and her family...1 neice and 2 nephews and also my boyfriend.
