Our trip is later August,
I was wondering if the characters were to tired or this was a good dinner time thing to do? we would go about 8:00 pm. take our time then head back to the park, and or motel.
I saw all the other character dining was not for dinners. :( ( my son does not want to see princesses. )
what do you all think?

It is a buffet and all you can eat with lots of meat and desserts. Goofy, Pluto, and I saw last time Chip, Mad Hatter and another character I forget whom. Boys would love the abundance of food and if you do not want the characters you can say so or you can interact with the characters and spend time. I recommend it unless you have overly picky eaters.

Lot's of fun my boys love it!

They do the macharana and another type dance thing which if fun. It's not as crowded later at dinner so you will have less characters as opposed to the prime morning times. But we prefer dinner. The prime rib is out of this world and DH can have a cocktail. We take the monorail over and back from the park which saves some walking.

My first question is how late does Goofy's Kitchen offer dinner....... you get 90 minutes for your meal & if you go with only an hour or less of dinner service, you will not see very many characters.

We hit the jackpot this week at the Minnie & Friends breakfast by doing the last time possible for the full 90 minutes. We ended up seeing 14 characters...... we got there & ended up with overlapping of characters getting ready to leave & the ones coming on to finish up breakfast.

So make sure with an 8pm PS you will be getting your full time, otherwise bump up your dinnertime to get the full allotment of time....don't want you to leave disappointed.

We do dinner every trip & love it. There's all sorts of activities thru-out the meal - dancing, banging pots, etc with Chef Goofy & then the characters do go table to table for pictures, autographs & interaction with your group. Be prepared....they will play with the adults as well!!!

very good post, I will be sure to go before 8:00 maybe 7:00 would be wiser. thank you so much. my grand son has never been there, Im so excited in taking him. I have taken each one of my grand babies over the last several years so this is a real treat for him. Its just him and i and we are doing fantasmic and eating at all the nice resturants and doing a character breakfast. :)

This is my familys favorite disney restaurant. IMHO they have the best food at DL. There are plenty of characters and lots of fun to be had but my kis are older now and only one of them still likes characrers and none of us would like to pass up the food thats for sure.
