Has anyone eaten at Goofy's kitchen? Do you have any reviews or opinions good or bad to say about it? We want to eat there for both brunch and dinner. Any pictures would be nice to. Plus I'm finding mixed prices for it, so if someone knows the prices that would be helpful. Thank you!

Unfortunately I don't have any quick pics to post but we LOVE Goofy's Kitchen anytime of day!:thumbsup2

Great variety of foods and characters. Loads of fun for the whole family.

I noticed the price for dinner went up this year so I'm still debating about it for my April trip but will certainly put it on the to do list for May!

I dont have pictures either, but we were very happy with the food and are planning on going back again for Dinner during our trip in October!! :thumbsup2:cool1:

Where is Goofy's Kitchen? Is it inside the parks? Is there a list of characters that will be there? Im a sucker for Chip n Dale.

There are pics for sure in the sticky at the top of this board. You could also do a search for goofy's kitchen, there have been about a million posted on this board. Personally we don't think it is worth the money. We don't think the food or character interaction are that great. We prefer Minnie's Breakfast at the Plaza Inn in DL.

I most definitely think it's worth it for everyone to try it at least one time. I love Goofy's. It's my favorite restaurant in DLR, and I have been eating there since 1992!! We never miss it on any trip to DLR, and have even eaten there a couple of times in the past when we did not go into the park. The wide variety of food is impressive. The quality of the food is great. I prefer the breakfast/brunch, however, over the dinner. Mickey-shaped cobbler, FANTASTIC fruit and bacon, fluffy eggs, yummy potatoes, croissants, biscuits and gravy, banana crepes, creme brulee French toast, lox and bagels, pizza and chicken, mini muffins and other pastries - just all kinds of stuff to be had! The regular characters who are there all the time are Goofy, Pluto, Chip & Dale and Baloo. Then there are rotating guest stars who appear each week that include Belle, Alice and the Mad Hatter, Aurora and the Prince, Jasmine and Aladdin, Minnie, etc. Sometimes there are more characters, sometimes maybe 5, depending on how busy it is in the restaurant. I think the character interaction is great; others feel differently. I think the food is great. Others disagree. So I am just presenting my opinion from my experiences at Goofy's, and I LOVE it, but there are certainly people who have differing views. So all we can do is give our opinions and share ouor experiences.

I have pictures with characters from assorted trips to Goofy's Kitchen ranging from 1992-2008 in my Trip Report - http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1979268. You can see the sorts of characters we have encountered over the years up until December of last year.

As for pictures of the food, J.C.andAli'sMom took some fabulous pictures (they are in a few different posts on one page) of the Goofy's breakfast spread. Here is the link: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1253888&page=82.

DizNee Luver is also a big Goofy's fan, and her TR features lots of photos from there as well: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2088835.

A GK breakfast is a ritual for us (we visit DL twice a year). The breakfast foods include the standard Micky head waffles, sausage, bacon, eggs, potatoes, pancakes, fruit, breads, cereals (both hot and cold), deserts, as well as more non-standard fare (such as the PB&J Pizza my girls love). The characters visit the tables for photos and autographs, and they also have periodic "activities" (usually dancing with the characters) throughout the breakfast.

I remember that there are places to get specials on the price (as the standard price can be expensive)...as well as packages with hotel stays that include GK vouchers at reduced price.

Why do you prefer brunch over the dinner?

Well, first of all, it is cheaper than the dinner. Secondly, I tend to be hungrier in the morning than in the evening, so everything appeals to me more then than in dinner hours. I think I just like breakfast dishes better than dinner dishes. Don't get me wrong - there is still a huge variety of food to choose from for dinner, but I personally just like the breakfast stuff better. A lot of other folks love the dinner but I think I am more of a breakfast person. Also, I think the dinner crowds are slightly heavier than the early morning breakfast/brunch crowd. Plus, did you look at J.C.andAli'sMom's wonderful three or four posts of Goofy's breakfast buffet pictures? It is hard not to love that buffet!:goodvibes The bacon there is SO good - I never eat bacon any other time except at DLR, and it is so good at Goofy's, I couldn't imagine not having it! Plus, the fruit is scrumptious and fresh and delicious.

I would love to find out where I could possibly get some sort of discounts for there. We are staying at a hotel off site and pretty much bought everything a la carte. So we don't qualify for any package discounts. But if there are any otherwise please let me know, thanks!

If you have AAA, you can get 10% off your bill. If you have a Deluxe AP, you can also get 10%off, and a Premium AP gets you 15% off. Sometimes the Getaway Today deals are good, and sometimes it seems they don't really save you too much money. Also, we are heading into the peak summer season soon (beginning around Memorial Day and lasting into September), so the prices are higher, but then they drop by $5-$6 in the off-peak season starting late September through late October, and then peak again for the holidays. So an off-peak breakfast is the cheapest Goofy's meal you could get with NO discount, and a peak season dinner is the most expensive meal!!

Yea we're going to be there the end of april, so hopefully the prices aren't too bad? I plan on spending about $100.00 for the four of us. DD#1 5yrs old and DD#2 is only 2yrs old.

Okay, well the 2-year-old will be free (kids under 3 are free at buffets in DLR). The 5-year-old will be cheaper than the adults. I don't THINK the peak prices are happening at the end of April, but it seems I remember that they were starting earlier this year than expected. In any case, for the adults at breakfast, it would either be $32 or $37 per person (depending on if it is peak season or off-peak then), basically, and I forget the kids' price (for the 5-year-old). It may be around $20 or so. In any case, they include tax and tip in the price, so you will still fall within your $100 range, easily!:goodvibes Peak season dinner can be as high as $44 per adult. So you may want to stick with the breakfast!!

Ya see, what did I tell you? You ask it and they will answer. I hope it was helpful for you.

Yes, thank you ALL! Even though I don't have all of the discount items, I still think that my family and I will still enjoy it, kaos and all. LOL

So, this is what you could do. Spend the regular price on GK and have PBJ sandwiches for lunch:rotfl2: Actually that's how we budget for the food there. We eat 2 meals there and the other plus snacks are what we brought or have gotten from the grocery store and prepared in the hotel room. Every little bit helps and with a family of 6 we save $60-80 dollars a day doing it this way.
