Are we the only one's who love this place? We are going to the world in May and have decided to make our arrival day a hotel & Pool day, and one of the highlights will be going to Goofys to make some treats for the week. The fact that you can make your own is awesome. My favorite are the Pretzel sticks dipped in chocolate and rolled in reese's then drizzled with caramel. DELICIOUS:worship:

On my last trip I finally did the "Create your own" with pretzel sticks and I agree- awesome! However, it was hot and it was all melty and very hard to eat. I had video taken of me eating it because apparently chocolate all over my face in public is humorous to family members.

Now that almost all the Create your own are not included in the DDP, no I don't go there much.

I think I am always overwhelmed with the choices and never end up getting anything. But now I might try your creation! Thanks!

Yep! Goofy's is one of the highlights of our trip too! We love doing the create your own. I usually get pretzels, but on the last trip I had some of my daughter's rice crispie treat and it was beyond good. Might try that this trip!

Did the create your own change? We were there in January and made Goofy's a nightly ritual. We stayed at OKW and did the boat trip over after dinner every night. We did make your owns each time for our snack credits.

OH a guy after my own heart! I love planning days around food at Disney!!:rotfl:

And I love Goofy's Candy Co.! I've never done of the make-your-own creations, but I love all the pre-packaged stuff they've got. My favorites are anything chocolate, and the Sweet-n-Sours (little character-shaped candies that are like SweeTarts). We usually walk out of there with several bags of goodies!

.

I can not wait to go there. I hope that it isn't to hot in March so the stuff doesn't melt. We will probably go on our way home though and bring some treats with us. As well as during our stay. :cool1:

I also love Goofy's make your own rice krispie treat. I used snack credits, but this year I will pay for it. I really wish they had the crushed peanut butter cups for them though.

I definitely don't think you're alone as it's always PACKED when I go there. I do like to do the "Make your Own Treat" thing (usually the fudge cookies dipped in stuff, I can make Rice Crispy Treats at home) but am usually too impatient to wait for one to be made (it always seems to take 20-30 minutes). I do like to get some of the pre-made things and eat them for dessert when eating lunch at Wolfgang Puck Express :goodvibes.

Now I believe you can get pretzel rods, fudge cookie, or marshmallow dipped in just chocolate (no toppings) for a snack credit on the DDP. I've always paid OOP and really $3-4 for a yummy treat isn't bad (the dipped rice crispy treats are like $9).

When I was there Sept 26th-Oct 4th they had only one lady working at the Make Your Own Treat section and she was not busy at all. In fact, she was just standing there. As I walked up she said, "if you are on the DDP, I'd better tell you the only things you can get for a snack credit now are one pretzel stick with a single topping and a single drizzle, 3 marshmallows with single topping and single drizzle, and and one gingerbread with a single topping and a single drizzle". I asked her about the changes and she said the rice crispy treats and cookies no longer count as a snack credit and you can only get one pretzel stick, instead of 3 like you could just a few weeks prior. I told her no thank you and walked over to the counter where they have the premade stuff, just to find out that they also no longer have the milk chocolate coated mint slab smoothies that I always get. I round up getting a turtle and a piece of fudge. I was really disappointed. The line at the premade area was really long, but no one was at the Make Your Own Treat station. That's the first time I've ever seen that area when it wasn't packed.

We were there last week and none of the make your own had the DDP, now as a disclaimer, I didn't ask either, but the sign didn't have the purple logo by any of them like it did with the premade ones in the case. That being said, DD and I made the dipped marshmallows and mickey shaped rice crispy treat and both of them together were less than $8 (and they over charged me $1 for an extra topping, though neither of us had picked one, I didn't complain because the amount of candy they stuffed on these things, was worth being overcharged. Honestly, I need to post a pic of DD's Marshmallows, I've never seen one posted that was this packed on!). They were HUGE to, so for the price, it was worth paying out of pocket for. It took the 3 of us a 4 days to finish them off. :rotfl:

Here is a pic. She is holding it upside down, so you can't see the chocolate drizzle.

Wow! Good to know! I have a feeling all of the good "deals" (as far as snack credits go on the DDP) will start being cut back over the years.

When I was there in November '08 to do the Make Your Own Treat thing the lady told me it would be about an hour wait. I asked why and she said they had one person making treats but that a lady had brought 50 snack credits in and it was going to take a long time to do them. I said no thanks and wandered around the store and heard many people come in after me yelling at the lady that they had waited until the end of their trip and had 6-7 snack credits to turn in and they couldn't wait that long.

Our family is in the group that will not be returning to our favorite place in DTD since they removed the Crispy Mickey from the DDP!:sad2:
