Goofy ice cream bars??

Hi, Are the Goofy ice cream bars sold at any of the WDW parks anymore?? They were caramel and chocolate with vanilla or chocolate ice cream. Thanks, Joan

No, I haven't seen them for a few years now, and it is a darn shame.
They were SOOOO good.

I remember when they were a tie-in with the Hunchback of Notre Dame film. And they were awesome, weren't they? Then I remember looking for the "Hunchback" bars and saw they suddenly became "Hercules" bars.

Then Goofy was chosen to be the spokes-character for it, to keep from changing the name for every movie, I suppose. I was bummed when those bars went away because I liked them better than Mickey bars.

Fortunately for all of us, the new Magnum Double Caramel bars are a good competitor for the former Goofy Bars, and they are available at Target! At home! I don't have to travel far and drop buckets of money to get them! Check them out -- they are my newest vice!

Every time we go to Disney with my mom she searches for them. She is very disappointed they don't have them. I will let her know about the magnum bars, of course it won't be as much fun as eating the disney bars on the benches people watching.

Tell Mom to close her eyes while eating the Target ice cream, and pretend she's at WDW. She can put the $$$ difference in a piggy bank and have a Mickey bar next visit.

I miss the Nestle's Tollhouse Cookie Ice Cream Sandwich they used to sell in the parks. Sometimes you can still find those in the resort stores, but not in the parks. And I don't like the ones made with fresh cookies. I've found them at Sams and Target.

Ok so I went to Target yesterday, I was going to buy my mom the Magnum bars. I looked at the one with caramel. It has vanilla ice cream. My mom is not fond of vanilla, so I didn't buy them. I asked her last night about the goofy bars. She said the bars had chocolate ice cream. So I guess those won't work for her.

Too bad. I was going to surprise her.

Oh rats! I didn't mean to lead you all astray with the Magnum bars! I remembered loving Goofy bars because of the caramel-chocolate combination, which the Magnum bars also have. Sadly, the chocolate ice cream was left behind in my mind, and now I miss that! Maybe I should write to whoever is making Magnum bars to step it up a notch? Or maybe we should all write to Disney to tell them to bring back the goods... or else! (I'd do this, but I'm not very good at coming up with "or elses.")

No biggie, I just posted to let you know what happened.

We will just have to hope that one day disney realizes what they have done. Sometimes they miss the big picture. Not everyone wants "healthy" food shoved in their faces when on vacation. Mind you we eat healthy at home, but do have 1 junkfood day a week (sometimes). On vacation, if we want something we have it. Sorry my little rant.
