Staying at the Beach Club, made it easy to get to our 7:50 PS for Cape May. The characters were Goofy, Minnie, and Chip and Dale. The breakfst buffet is very good and reasonably priced. Our server was very helpful, when we needed someone to take a group shot with Goofy. We even had Goofy sign our hats and t-shirts, because we remembered not to wear those we wanted signed.
After breakfast, we were off to Magic Kingdom. My grandson wanted to gel his hair a different color. He came out with a copper color, no pixie dust this time. We then had a group silouhette done on MainStreet. My grandson had a single silouhette done also. He ended up looking like a Mohawk Indian.
My grandson and his mom headed to MGM, where they spent a very enjoyable time with the Star Wars characters who were there for the special Star Wars Weekend. My grandson got to battle Darth Vadar.
I spent some time at the Polynesian hotel and took a short trip to the ANimal Kingdom, to get better photos of the Tree of Life. After almost getting lost trying to get back to the Grand Floridian Hotel, I finally arrived there at 2 p.m.
I had a 2:20 PS for afternoon Tea. I have always wanted to have tea at the Garden View Lounge at the Grand Floridian Hotel I had their special blend of tea, and the Buckinghan Palace Selection. This is various tea sandwishes, followed by scone and tart selection and yummy pastries. A very relaxing hour was spent just enjoying the atmosphere and my tea. I then listened to the wonderful pianist in the Grand Lobby.
It was then time to return to Epcot, to finish my passport. I only needed 3 more countries. I rode Space Ship Earth, and visited the Ellen Degeneras exhibit, the one with the dinosaurs. After finishing my passport, I found a very nice bench at the American Adventure Pavillion, right in front of the Funnel Cakes. It was almost 8 p.m. I did some serious people watching. Talked to a lovely mom from Tennessee, visiting Epcot for the first time. We had an excellent view of Illuminations. Really saw it totally this time. Fabulous.
I took my time departing Epcot. Stopped at the WOrld Traveler Store near the International Gateway, and did some last minute shopping. Tomorrow we would be going home to Chicago. Decided to take the boat back to the Beach Club. While we were at the Boardwalk stop, we could see the fireworks coming from the MK.
I stopped for a burger at Beaches and Cream. Brought it back to my room and ate it while listening to some of the music CD's I had purchased. I ended staying up most of the night packing. Sadly, Sunday was here and we were headed home today.
