I ran the WDW Marathon last year and I'm setting my sights on the Goofy for 2012. My latest 1/2 finish was 1:53:06. Before I register for the Goofy, any advice on what I should list as my expected finish times? I plan to dial back a a bit on the 1/2 so I can give my best to the full. But I'd like to maximize corral placement as well. Do you have to give expected times for both finishes or just the marathon or what? Also, on a side note, does anyone know sizing info on the Champion tech shirts? Based on the one I got last year, they seem to run quite large.

Thanks!

I'm planning on doing Goofy as well. My plan is to just put my best times in for both races. That way I will get the best corral placement. You can always move back a corral on race day if you want. And it's not as though you would run dramatically slower, so I would just estimate your best time to date.

As far as I can recall, you only have to give one proof of time. At least I'm pretty sure that's what I've done the past few years. They will take whichever time you enter and use pace prediction models to come up with what they think you'll run for whichever race you didn't give a time for. Last year, I submitted a 4-hour marathon time and was in corral A for the half and corral B for the full. With your current half time, you'll probably be in those corrals as well.

That would be good if i only needed to supply one time. Last year was my first marathon. My time was good, but my last 1/2 indicates I could do better.

As mentioned, it's all based on you expected marathon time. I would put in 4:00 and go with it based on your time.

As far as sizing, I do not think that I have actually worn the shirts from the last race yet.

I had a qualifying half time of 1:46 and put in an estimated 1:44:59 for the half and 4:15:00 for the full. I was in corral A for the half and corral C for the full.

I got an XS shirt and the only small about it was the arms. The shirt itself was not fitted. So it was like getting a large shirt with fitted arms - maybe I got an error shirt

Unless it's Princess weekend, they're unisex sizes, so it wouldn't be fitted like a women's would be.

My size small seemed large even for unisex. But I didn't know if mine slipped by the inspectors or what.
