Goodness Gracious... I need help!!!

Ok, long story short. Just got off the phone with WDW and cancelled my 8-night split stay between Pop and CSR with the AP rate in favor of the free dining.

Now staying completely at POP for 8 nights, but the only thing they had was preferred. So, what does a preferred room entail, and what should I request. It's me, DGF, and Dbrother, who is 7 and will turn 8 while there.

All help is, of course, appreciated.

Preferred rooms at a value resort are in the buildings which are closest to the main pool, food court and bus stop.
I usually stay in a preferred at the ALL Star resorts. Preferred rooms cost about $12 more each night.
I think the preferred rooms at POP are in the 60's building.

Preferred rooms at POP are located in the 60s section, right by the Hippy Dippy pool. There's not a whole lot in the way of requests you can make - maybe ask for a specific floor, but other than that your rooms will basically be set. You'll have a great time at Pop!! It's one of my favorite resorts!

I stayed at POP in a preferred room in April. I would suggest requesting a top floor room. (4th). The other thing to consider is if you want a room facing the Hippy Dippy pool. My room in April was on 4th floor facing the pool. It did get a little noisy from people in the pool until midnight every night.
If you are botherd by noise request a non pool view! Other than that it was a 2 minute walk from the 60's building to the food court and bus stop
I Had a great stay at POP, I wanted to go back in October but it is all booked up for the weekend I am going So we are trying CBR for the first time.
