So I called WDW-Dine to see if there was any availbility for the Jiko's Wine Pairing dinner next thursday...make a long story short, we're now staying 14th Floor @ the Contemporary.

how does this happen? your guess is as good as mine. :confused3 Although, I can give you a hint - do not to check for availbility when you're missin the DIS!

I'll have to admit, Im really excited, I just hope my DF (who Im sure is going to chime in anytime) will approve! :3dglasses

I must admitt it happened to me too. Called for our trip in Sept and somehow ended up with a 1 bedroom suite on the 14th floor. Still can't figure out how that happened. When are you going?

Did you get upgraded when you asked about the wine pairing?

Not sure what you mean with this post. :)

Please post when you return from your trip. Would love to hear about the 14th floor. Thanks and have a great time.

:rotfl: Nonono, after I asked about the wine pairing I figured to check out availbility because I wanted to do a night or two at the CR Tower before my DF leaves back to Spain. Unfortunately, there was no availbility for Tower rooms, so I asked her for 12th floor concierge, and she said still - nothing available. She then said, she found something...oh its the 14th floor MK view (I was not aware that they assign MK/Lake view during reservation)! So, I got nervous and the craziest words came out of my mouth: Book it!

...and here I am with a HUGE grin on my face. :3dglasses

AH! ROFL. DH would KILL me for doing that, but I would love to stay there. :) Somehow I think two rooms at CR would be out of our budget a smidge.

You don't know how lucky you are!!! There are only 5 standard concierge rooms on the 14th floor, so yes they do block your room and assign it when you make a reservation. There are only 16 rooms all together on that floor. If you want, you can check out the CR 14th floorplan. Please report back on your experience. I'm waiting for the rehab to be finished and then I'd love to stay here for a few nights.

Right! Not only did she offer the view she also asked if I wanted King or two queen size beds. I was about to go with king until I realized Meli and I will probably be jumping on our beds in excitedment once we arrive! :teeth:

This is a short stay, once the rehabs are done, Im sure we will do a proper stay! :)

woohoo!

not exactly the same thing.

But this upcoming trip started out as a short road trip to DC. Now its our longest trip ever!

What a wonderful surprise to find that DF booked 14th floor!!!
He's the best.

Lucky me :goodvibes

Boy, with only 5 standard rooms (only hold 4 people), if I ever want the CR 14th floor (will need 2 rooms), I'll have to book EARLY!

If you extend your stay, we will have to wave at each other!

We are arriving July 10 and staying in the tower (but not 14th floor because we would have to end up with a 1-bedroom suite and that price just wasn't in the cards for us! :goodvibes )

Congratulations ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! How did that happen, anyway? ;) Y'all are CRAZY!
TheNerdyMinnie Do you happen to watch "Six Feet Under" on HBO? In your signature pic you look exactly like Brenda :earsgirl:

OMG! You two are just rubbing salt into my wounds! You are KILLING ME OVER HERE! I am green with envy, I tell ya! You two really know how to "do it up right" and enjoy yourselves. yes, I am jealous of ya, but I am also excited for you! I hope you got an AP or FL res rate or SOMETHING!

I have a feeling Ahhhh had had a few jack and cokes as he was making this ressie!

hahaha, youd think that! instead i was not enjoying the stress of work life! which is just as good of a reason to book! im telling you WLL, last minute one nighter trip is in order, we can rock the casbah, and by casbah i mean mk resort bars....teehee :3dglasses

*sigh* not gonna happen, my dearies. But I assure you...we WILL all meet up in WDW one day! I just want to "ride on your Concierge Coattails" and party with the pros! (That would be you and Nerdy!) :cool1:

I thought I was the only one! :confused3

Called to check on availibilty for a value...my DH was perishing the thought, he has only stayed in deluxes...when BAM! I booked WLCL for two nights, July 3rd and 4th! :)

;) Then, I found myself calling back 2 days later to go ahead and book a value for a new late arrival night of July 2nd when...BAM!, I booked the arrival night of July 2nd to extend our WLCL stay to three nights! :rotfl:

So now we are leaving home at 2AM to arrive at WDW right at check-in time for our WLCL stay! :cheer2:

Then we are going to GF and YC! :rotfl2:

Sometimes I really crack myself up!
