GOODINGS Delivery at OKW

Has anyone ever had Goodings deliver groceries to OKW?

I was wondering how it works. Do they deliver right to your unit? What if you are not there?

Or do they deliver to the Hospitality House and then will OKW CMs deliver it to your room or do you have to pick it up yourself?

We just used "We Go Shop" on our recent trip. They do have a $15 delivery fee for groceries, but it was very convenient.

We wanted the food at check-in, so we gave Becca our approx. check-in time and called her once when we arrived at the airport and again when we got to the resort.

She was there with the bags and met us in our room.

Thanks for the link for wegoshop, BUT, they will be closed for the week that I am in WDW. Oh, well.

I would have to say that the premium price you pay at goodings added on to a delivery fee would probably more than cover the cost of a cab to and from the Winn Dixie, Walmart or Publix nearby. We shopped at Goodings for a few items our last trip and realized our grocery bill was 2 times as much as it would have been had we just gone down the street. I knew it was high, but not really THAT high. I won't shop there again.

I thought Disney's grocery delivery was limited to what they sell in the onsite stores??

I was wondering about this myself. How much is a cab to Publix? Does it wait for you? Or do you call one when you are finished for the ride back?

We are staying at SSR for the first time. Can you walk to Goodings from there? I was trying to remember but I can't--my brain is so full of disney stuff now that when I learn something new something old gets deleted

Goodings is QUITE a distance from SSR - especially with groceries.

How about renting an El Cheapo car onsite (I beleive their car rental at one of the resorts) then run to Walmart, Publix, or whatever shop as you like, bring back the groceries to the room, and bring drop the car off. I bet it will be the same price as the cab ride.
