Hi everyone.

Slightly random question, does anyone know if the Hess garages on property or the goodings supermarket at the crossroads sell the big bags of M&Ms? I know the goodings has a repuatation for being expensive but i'm only after three or four bags. I'm staying onsite, haven't got a car but have been asked by a few people at work to bring them back bags of M&Ms. Don't really fancy having to hire a car just to buy candy lol
Thanks in advance

Goodings had the big bags a couple of week ago, I bought some! :thumbsup2

thanks guys, know someone on here would have the answer! catherine, don't suppose you remember roughly how much they were at goodings?
shazzie, that'd be great if you could have a look while you were there thanks :)

you could always do a quickie to Walmart on the 56 bus..it really doesn't take long and they have loads of big bags of M&M's. We have done a quickie before when we forgot to buy something and we were there and back to the TTC in about an hour (obviously timed the buses well that day and I think the bus driver was in a rush on the way there!!!). :goodvibes

The other option I had was getting the bus, but I'm travelling solo this time so wanted to try and avoid public transport if poss. It scares me enough in this country lol....

You can walk to the garage from the Boardwalk I've done it :)

Fear hardly ever is a good base for decision making. In this case it can easily result in you limiting yourself without any reason. Lynx -amongst others- is a very safe transportation mode for any and all, including females, kids, solo travellers, you name it. Most of my trips are solo trips. Combine that with female and overly visable physically being no "resistance" at all for anyone with not so proper ideas. Also have used Lynx extensively. Sure, it isn't the smartest move in the world to put yourself in a dark unlight deserted location, but common sense and all. Still leaves loads of day and areas left that one can very safely, easily and very cheaply visit and explore. Obviously lynxing isn't always the best fitting option for everyone or in every situation and that's perfectly fine. It's just a shame to limit your options based on fear instead of your itinerary, what you'ld like to do etc.

As far as the M&M's? Easier and cheaper; order online to have it delivered to hotel room/villa or go elsewhere and combine it with other types of shopping. Goodings is simply way over priced. Not talking about a dollar per bag more, but easily have seen prices of 200, 300% or more. And very bad selection, but that is to be expected from such a small store compared to your general superwalmart or supertarget.

Best assortment can be found at Target. Walmart sells less varieties. Depending on when you go, be on the look out for the weekly sales. Week 39 or 40 always seems to have M&Ms on sale at Targets, 3 large bags for $8,-. (travel same time of year on most trips and always stock up on certain varieties for myself and others for friends and family that aren't sold here, got it down to a science by now). The weekly flyer is on the website, so very easy to check out before going anywhere.

If you do consider walmart route; currently they have coupons for $1,- of a bag of M&M harvest (basically normal ones but in fall themed bags) that are good for the next couple of weeks. Very easy to print from the website and if going to walmart anyway, easy way to safe on that total you'll end up being charged anyway.

Wasn't an actual fear lol, was just exploring if I could get these items without having to go far offsite to get them :)

Sorry Karen, no large bags of M&Ms at DTD Hess garage, did have bottles of wine though:)

thanks for looking for me! turns out that i'm actually renting a car for one day now so will head to publix instead.
thanks though :)
