Goodbye Starring Rolls - We will miss you

I never understood this place. Weird hours. Weird setup. Bakery offerings. I've eaten there a couple of times. It was pleasant but nothing glorious. I hope they replace it with something more user friendly.

No doubt. I don't think the could have designed a more confusing, less efficient place.

You basically had to know what you wanted before you arrived (because any line would block looking at the items)

And then moving from ordering to paying made no sense at all.

And finding a seat was more stressful than remodeling a house at busy times. So you leave and want to stop back later and it's closed :/

Maybe they'll expand the Hollywood Brown Derby Lounge area.

We ate there every trip. I liked the offerings of pastries, cookies, the sandwiches and drinks...

I am not a fan of starbucks- not really the pastry or the coffee.

I found it getting hard to find a nice spot for a pastry or sandwich in DHS.

We used to like writers stop as well.

I have to say I am not loving so many of the recent changes in the past few years. I count my blessings for having been able to experience WDW for many years before these changes happened.

We always stopped by and they were always busy. "Sometimes" Disney does things I just don't understand!

I'm disappointed to hear this. It's our go to place for a relaxing snack.

Meh, I'm not dancing on its grave or anything but I never understood the hype. The sandwiches were kind of gross for me because you couldn't order them without whatever kind of sauce the "mothership sandwich" was made with. (I don't really care for mustard/mayo/etc on sandwiches, it gives the bread a weird texture.)

It's definitely closed. We were there on Sunday and spoke to a cast member who was cleaning the tables. He said that they only found out two weeks ago.

Is there another spot in HS where you can get sandwiches like Starring Roles had? I don't love the QS options at HS and I liked grabbing a sandwich there.

I enjoyed the desserts there, but the space was DEFINITELY too small, and the sandwiches were pretty pathetic. I hope they do replace it with something, however. They seem to be in more of the "take" than "give", lately, though..

I don't understand the need to close this. My family enjoyed going to Starring Rolls every morning on our DHS days. Definitely going to be missed.

We always enjoyed having breakfast here as opposed to the busy resort QS restaurants. Very good food there. Sad to see it go.
