Goodbye RCI

Yes. The directory includes the ratings and the TDI charts. You can see the directory here without being logged in:

Note that some resorts may be in the Directory but may not be visible to DVC Members, because II has a downward quality filter.

My first reaction is Wow, I am originally from Baltimore so I am very familiar with Ocean city Md. RCI only had 1 Bayside property that didn't appear that great, I just clicked on your site provided and there are 8 mostly on the Ocean side. I'm looking forward to see if an exchange might be in my future.

Sorry, not sure how to read it. For example, near Disneyland Paris there is a nice Marriot resort:
https://www.intervalworld.com/web/c...entResortCode=MVF&showVideo=true#.YbaS0SdWrqsWhat's its tier?

If we can get into some of these resorts, I also think the point chart seems pretty reasonable.
I own in a high end points system with access to Interval. You shouldn't have any trouble getting trades to quality resorts in all but the highest demand times (Christmas, New Years, July).

You'll want to make sure you put in an ongoing search with Interval International which is kind of like the Waitlist that DVC offers.

Good luck!

I assume the regional block for Orlando timeshares is in place. Does that also apply to II’s version of “last minute” or “extra vacations” called getaways?

The actual II resort directory specific to DVC hasn’t been posted yet, so we don’t know. But I wouldn’t be surprised if all access to Orlando area II resorts is blocked, including the last minute getaways. Have to wait and see!

I noticed there was a list of resorts in the guide that included some orlando resorts. Was that not the II resort list specific to DVC?

No, that’s the full list of II resorts. The DVC-specific resort directory is yet to come.

Taking a quick look at the charts it looks like 1 BR's could be a good value, especially compared to how DVC charts are set up. There isn't much of a difference between studios and 1BR and then there is a big jump from 1BR to 2BR. If the resorts in the Elite tier are nice then 120-150 points for a week in a 1BR seems quite reasonable.

I think the DVC chart is very reasonable if you make the right exchange. Ongoing searches will yield much better results in interval.

So just remember, you can't expect to get really great trades unless you invest some time into it.

If there is a place and a resort that you want to go to...assuming that is is a larger resort that gets a lot of deposits, just make sure to put in an ongoing search request, and I think you will have good results.

Others called out the 1 Bedroom being a sweet spot...I agree with this very much. You can specify which size unit you would take in your request, so I would probably ignore studios and go for the 1 bedrooms.

In the 21 years we have owned DVC, we have only exchanged once. When it was first II - we exchanged into The Royal Sands (Cancun/before it became AI). We thought it was worth the points and loved it.

We will definitely consider it again. We put in a search back then. I would do the same again when the time comes.

Thank you. :)

Look into Westin lagunamar. Those are super easy exchanges and it’s a great resort

Thank you. If we consider Cancun again - will do that.

Would love to visit the keys some day soon. Have not been in a while :)

When I try to sign up on the Interval International website, it ask me for a "solitication #".

How do I get that?
