Goodbye, and thanks for the memories!

I have decided that since I rarely frequent the DIS any more, that it would be a good time to say my goodbyes. It's time to close a chapter of life and move on to another one. But first, some thank yous are in order:

First of all, thank you DIS mods and admins for creating such a wonderful place, and for maintaining a wonderful place.

Thank you, Swan/Dolphin cheerleaders both past and present, for the good times and fond memories.

Thank you, Tampa DISers, again, for good times and fond memories.

Thank you to everyone with whom I have corresponded with over the past year (maybe longer?) via threads, replies to threads, PMs, via cell phone at WDW, via cell phone at ESPN Cafe, etc.. thank you for the wonderful conversations, your words of support and encouragement, the laughter, the bad jokes, and most of all, for the camradarie.

I'd hate to make a list of individuals and leave someone out by accident, so simply remember this. If we've ever corresponded (see above paragraph for qualifications), you've left an impression that will stay with me. If you were unlucky enough to be caught by my camera, you will definatly be remembered years later while reminiscing of good times and good people.

So with that: guys, gals, ladies, gentlemen: thank you. it's been a pleasure getting to know some of you here.

Well Alison, it's a shame to see you go, but I'm glad it's with such positive feelings, and I think I understand the symbolic need to close a chapter as you move on to new ones. . .

I'd like to compliment you on what I think is a very classy and heartfelt "goodbye", and I would also like to tell you this: A while back you shared a part of your life here, and the combination of your bravery in doing so, and the acceptence and genuine support you recieved left me with a very special memory and moment of this place I'll never forget- much of it was due to the good person you seem to be, and I thank you for that. .

I wish you much luck, and I hope you stop in from time to time to let us know how your doing. .
