I was wondering if some women could tell me what the best deodorant is to use at Disney World?? We've always gone in the summer and I've gotten by ok but I was wondering what seems to work the best in this extremely hot weather? I've heard on here that some women like to use men's deodorant because it is stronger, but honestly I have no interest in doing that. Whenever I see men's deodorant I just think of it rubbing against hairy, sweaty, guy underarms!! :scared1: :rotfl: Anyways, what WOMEN'S deodorant do you use at Disney to avoid sweating as much as possible? At home I use "Secret," but just the regular, cheap, fresh scented type. TIA!!

I live here in FL and I've found the Secret Clinical has worked the best for me so far. I apply it at night after showering (I think you're supposed to apply it at night anyway) and then I reapply a light coat in the morning. I used to use reg Secret and also Degree and this seems to work much better.

Thanks for the quick reply! Now I wonder why you have to apply it at night- is that really the main way it works? Sometimes I shower at night and sometimes I wait til morning... it depends on how tired I am and how icky I feel from the parks.

Will it still work just as well if I only apply it in the morning after I shower? I also usually shower in the afternoons when there, so same thing- Will it work just as well if I apply it as soon as I hop out of the shower and head to the parks??

This might be too muh information but will explain why I need the answer. I have extremely sweating feet. So much so my parents as a teen took me to the doctor to see what they could do. THey were sick of smelly shoes and socks and feet. The perscribed a foot deodorant and told me to put it on at night. At night you perspire less and more aluminum is pulled into the underarms sweat ducts and becuase there’s more aluminum present it plugs more pores. The plugging signals the sweat glands to stop or reduce perspiration for up to 24-hours. THis is not effected by showers so therefore it is acutally unnesessary to put it on in the morning too.

I use the same deodorant and I apply it in the morning. I did sports when I was younger and which I had the clinical then. I only use that deodorant now!!!!

I like Secret clinical as well. At one point I used Dove for a bit because someone recommended it but I quickly found that after a couple of hours it just smelled like sweat with teeny bit of baby powder.

Secret Clinical is all I use year round!!!!!:thumbsup2 I have tried other clincial brands, but they just haven't passed the test-no difference between those others and regular, cheaper deo.!:confused3

I've also tried Mitchum extra strength/clinical (I can't remember what its called) and it actually made me feel more uncomfortable than just having plan old sweaty pits. Very ladylike, I know. But ugh, it was just yucky for me.

I'm a dedicated secret fan, that's all I use but the "clinical" secret is new to me. Didn't know about it but I'll have to try and find some. Sounds like it does a great job!

Not to put a damper on your day, but someone mentioned there's more aluminum in the clinical. Aluminum is what people try to avoid since there is a direct link to Alzheimer's.

I am so glad I read this thread. My DD is 16 and a high level basketball player.......who plays hard for many hours at a time........needless to say your regular ole deodorants do nothing!

I will buy some Secret Clinical today for her to try! Now...........what to wash the clothes in so I don't have to wash them three times to get the sweaty smell out!?

Any that have antiperspirant have aluminum from what I have seen reading labels. Some natural deodorant only ones have no aluminum.

I use and love Lady Mitchum despite the aluminum. I live in Arizona a very HOT place to live and I used it in Florida when I lived there too. I use the gel ones not the roll on solids clear or otherwise I don't like that feeling and residue it leaves. So even in winter I may use the cheapest brand I still choose the clear gel ones.

Suave clinical or secret clinical are what I use, usually the Suave because it's about $5 instead of $8. Both are much more effective than regular deoderant.

I use the WATERPROOF Secret Clinical when we're at Disney World and it's hot. It's a lifesaver. :rotfl: The waterproof version also works very well to prevent inner thigh chub rub while at the water parks all day (even better than Body Glide for this specific purpose - and I love Body Glide!).

I use Arm and Hammer brand! I haven't used it at WDW, but the temps here have been about the same so I guess it would work! :confused3

My biggest thing was to never ever ever wear shirts that were tight under the armpits. None of those "ladies fit" t-shirts for me at WDW. I need looser fit "men's" fit tees! It never seemed to matter what kind of deodorant I wore, I would pit them out!

Awesome! It's like 20% or something ridiculous like that. Use it and never sweat again! Seriously. Great stuff. You can get it at Walgreens or CVS.

I'm going to run to CVS tomorrow and get secret clinical. I've used secret (regular) and mitchum intermittently for years and recently I've been smelly (TMI!) despite showering daily and using the stuff 2x day!!

Yet another thing I have never thought about for Disney! I have been in the market for a new deodorant for awhile. I have always used Dove and nothing but Dove since it first came out, but then I got some other stuff on sale and I bought a whole bunch (I'm a coupon freak). It's all horrible. I don't even remember what brands they are but one's in a light green container and one is purple.

Now I think I have read with the Clinical Strength stuff, it takes time to start working, right? Like you have to start using it before the trip to get the full affects, right?

Another Secret Clinical fan here. I usually get the 'light and fresh scent' and apply in the morning after my shower. I need to read the box for instructions to see about this putting it on at night thing, although have not had any problems with using it in the morning. My sister runs Marathons, 2x a year, and is always "in training", she swears by this brand and is the one who originally advised me to try it.
