Good ways to make extra cash

Thanks Beth for posting the links, I wasn't sure if we could post them or not. I know direct referrals are a no-no here but I thought there was something about a reciprical link if we posted links here..... :confused3

That rule is regarding links that are in your signature.

I haven't done this yet but i am qoinq to try... this MIGHT just might sound like a terrible thing to do. You see i'm 13... you know how schools ask for fundraisers and stuff? Well i asked my mom if i can sell candy around the block from costco and say it's a school fundraiser.:lmao: Some people may think this is wrong but in reality... it isnt? It's not like we are just asking for money... we are selling candy. I am going to sell chocolate bars for $1 and 4 lollipops for $1 lol :rotfl2: These packs cost about 15 dollars so you make at least 15. It's a great way to earn extra money for DISNEY! :rotfl2:

I hope nobody thinks this is a bad thing to do :confused3 i'D HOPE it isn't, i mean afterall it's not like we are just asking for money we are sellling stuff for it! Me and my mom have created some bracelets we've also sold in my neighborhood! :)

If you tell people it's a school fundraiser, you better take that money to school and donate it, otherwise you would be guilty of fraud. People have been arrested for doing that.

If you want to sell candy bars to go to Disney World, be honest about it and don't say it's a "school fundraiser" when you know it's not.

ok I went to the site for shared reviews. How do I see some of the reviews that people have written. Interested in trying it out. Thanks Lisa

Thanks so much for that shared reviews link!! I signed up, and just did my first review! I will be doing more of these while i am at work today, i can't wait!!

I am also going to check out ExpoTV.

Ya'll are great! I just submitted my first review on Shared Reviews. I had never heard of this site. I am interested in doing ExpoTV, but I am not very good at uploading stuff. Is it easy to do? I think I will need to get my 13 YO to help me with that one!:rotfl:

Does anyone else have 'issues' with uploading video of yourself and not knowing who might watch it? I'm very excited about Sharedreviews as I haven't gotten in on expotv for that reason.

And yes, it's both dishonest and illegal to claim you are doing a school fundraiser when you aren't.

You sound like my 12 year old. He is definitely going to be a business man.

Well, he and his sister set-up a lemonade stand this summer. They did it with other neigborhood kids. When they ran out of lemonade and cookies, they came inside and looked for candy to sell. There is nothing wrong with that.

If you tell people it's a fundraiser, and it isn't then that is not OK. In our town you need to apply for a permit and notify the town or police station that you will be doing that in the town.

So, nothing wrong with a lemonade stand in your neighborhood, but right outside of Costco.... I think you or your parents might get into trouble. If in doubt, check with the town and approve anything you do with them first.

I like your creative thinking... that is how business opportunities are born.

Shared Reviews confuses me. I signed up and did one review last week. It was approved, but my current balance is still $0.00. Do you get paid based on how many votes the reviews get?

I just did my first review, we will see how it goes. Do you get an e-mail to say that it has been approved?

From what i can see, you have to do 5 reviews to earn $10.
HTH.

Uploading is pretty easy. You do have to know where your video is located though. When I edit and save projects to my computer, I have a special folder I made for them. DH will sometimes help by uploading for me so it makes it easier to find. I have a tracking sheet that all teh info gets entered into and submitted reviews get moved to a new folder so we still have them if there is a problem. I know it sounds complicated but it really helps me keep track f what I've reviewed and gotten paid.

You get paid for every 5th review. They do $10 increments. There is no way to search the site and view or vote on other reviews (that I know of) but that will be changing once they get closer to their full launch. Keep writing, it will get easier and you'll see the $$ add up.

SR does not send emails for approved reviews but Expo does.

I was a bit leary about posting my face and having myself on the internet but I've gotten more comfortable with it. I have my location set to private and I never identify my children when they are in any pictures. We are constantly being filmed and watched so much these days that it's hard to keep yourself totally private and off the radar so to speak. If I was worried about too much information being shared with the general public, I would make up a non-identifying screen name (WDWnuts, MIWDWMANIAC Buckeyefan are some of the ones that other DISers use) and then make sure your profile doesn't ahve any personal info in it.

Good luck every one! I hope you make lots of $$!

What happened to Cash Duck, or whatever it was, that everyone was doing for a while? I don't see any chatter about it anymore!

The ones I've had success with are ExpoTV and SharedReviews. I also do well with MyPoints, but that's to earn gift cards, not money. Some survey sites do pay out, but not as much as they used to.

Do you have to pictures and videos of the item on SR to get approved?

They say they prefer pictures and videos, but I've only added pics to one of my review. All my reviews were accepted. Eventually, it is supposed to pay you for having people look at your reviews like ExpoTV.

Kira, the owner of CashDuck, shut down like 2 months ago and then about a month ago she e-mailed and said that she is going to bring the site back. So we will see what happens!

BTW...GO PACKERS!! :cool1:

Oh i didn't know that's fraud. In that case, that's off the list for me thanks for letting mem know before i actually would have done it!! :scared1:

Those of you that do the surveys, can you share the ones that are legit? Most of the sites that i've run across are scams.
