Hey everyone,

Can anyone think of good ways to make extra money? Here are some things I am doing currently...

1. Sell plasma twice a week ($60.00 per week)
2. Sell Avon (I make a little doing this)

I have tried a bunch of the survey clubs, but mostly they are just junk where you are entered to win stuff or get a survey so seldom that the checks you get are barely worth it.

How much extra money are you looking for?
Secret shopping and the odd focus group (check the etc section of your local Craigslist) could net you a little, but probably in the $50 a month range, so you'd need to decide if it's worth it to you.

My DH's office goes through a lot, and I mean A LOT of pop, so we put a recycling container in the breakroom and sell the cans for scrap. It's not a lot (last week .60 /lb) but I'm a firm believer that every little bit helps!

I just started doing reviews on a site called sharedreviews. It is really easy and currently they are in "Beta" mode so you can do a written review on an item (almost anything you own) and you don't even have to upload any pictures or video. There is a limit of earning $100 right now. You get $10 for every 5 reviews you do. I am looking forward to what will happen when they do a full launch later this year! The money you earn is deposited via paypal. I have gotten paid $44 so far...they even pay you 10% over to cover paypal fees.

Quite a few of us are already doing ExpoTv as well. Last month there were couples that earned more than $1000 doing video reviews. I do both Shared Reviews and Expo and I'm fairly happy with both. Expo gives you the chance to make a lot more $$ at the moment but that might change once SR has it's full launch. My earnings last month were $275 that I put towards my credit cards since we ran up the balances while I was out of work this summer. It's not bad for a few hours work evey month.

I know you said that the survey clubs (GPT sites) didn't work for you, but they do work for a LOT of people. I personally have made about $2000 since April doing different sites. Every little bit adds up...and I am happy to say that I will have $2000 to bring for spending money on our trip in 19 days!! :cool1: If anyone has questions, please let me know, I am happy to help anyone out.

Another thing that I have done, is drug research. One study I got paid $2500 and another I got $3650. Not to shabby for 4 weeks (each) of work. Sure helped on the bills and I hope to get more in next year. So check those out.

I personally am ALWAYS ALWAYS looking for a way to make money.

I signed up for Shared reviews and so far it seems awesome...they have a $100 earning cap until they are out of the beta stage but if it takes off it seems like a good way to earn even more extra cash.:cool1: Let me know if anybody has questions.

How long does it usually take for these to get approved? I went ahead and submitted 5 today. I don't know whether to wait for approval or to go ahead and do the rest.

I am interested in the Shared Reviews, does someone have a sample of one that they submitted? I am curious what they are looking for. Any ideas would be great. Sure would love another $100!

I know this will shock many out there but I do not have a PayPal account. Is it a pain to sign up? How do you use the money once it is in your PayPal account? Can you only use it online? Can you "withdraw" money from that account? Any help is appreciated!!

Just go to Paypal.com and when you click on sign up, it will take you through the steps. Very easy to do. You have to have a bank account for the money to go into, or you can sign up for a paypal debit card and have access to your money that way. I do believe it takes 60 or 90 days after you sign up before you can get a debit card though. You can use the money in your paypal account to buy things online or transfer any funds to your bank account.

How long does it take for them to review the reviews? I see that they pay on Saturdays into paypal.

Thanks for the site everyone, this should be fun!

Mine were all approved or I was asked to fix something within several hours (or sooner in some cases) The nice thing is, if you do something "wrong" they won't just reject it...they will actually tell you what you need to do to fix it. For me, the only fixes I had to make were to recatagorize something. For example I reviewed our INTEX pool and there wasn't a catagory in Sporting Goods, Outdoors, or Toys...so I put it in Sporting Goods under accessories. They actually made a pool catagory in Sporting Goods and asked me to resubmit it under that catagory. You don't have to retype everything in that case. :) They paid me on last Saturday plus the 10% over to cover paypal fees and that included everything I submitted and was accepted by Friday night midnight.

It is fun, I can't wait to see what they do for their full launch!

I've made just under $1400 between expo and shared reviews!! I am booking our next vacation as soon as I have $2000 in my account!!:yay:

Thanks Beth for posting the links, I wasn't sure if we could post them or not. I know direct referrals are a no-no here but I thought there was something about a reciprical link if we posted links here..... :confused3

This is my SR review of my WDW Passporter:
Example removed due to violation of SR's terms and conditions.

It was approved in a matter of hours. I got my $$ for last week on Sat so I was doing a  The founders are also very active on their forums and will answer questions all the time. I really like the people behind SR, they are very friendly and helpful, much more so than Expo. Between the two, I'm making headway into our debt!

I haven't done this yet but i am qoinq to try... this MIGHT just might sound like a terrible thing to do. You see i'm 13... you know how schools ask for fundraisers and stuff? Well i asked my mom if i can sell candy around the block from costco and say it's a school fundraiser.:lmao: Some people may think this is wrong but in reality... it isnt? It's not like we are just asking for money... we are selling candy. I am going to sell chocolate bars for $1 and 4 lollipops for $1 lol :rotfl2: These packs cost about 15 dollars so you make at least 15. It's a great way to earn extra money for DISNEY! :rotfl2:

I hope nobody thinks this is a bad thing to do :confused3 i'D HOPE it isn't, i mean afterall it's not like we are just asking for money we are sellling stuff for it! Me and my mom have created some bracelets we've also sold in my neighborhood! :)

I hope you are just joking.

Reward sites and survey sites are how I make my extra money. Paid for trips to both disneyland and disneyworld this year 100%! Worth it for sure. We do have a rewards forum here on the DIS if anyone wants to check it out that's where all us rewarders hang out.
