I have some serious cankles. I own some Tevas and Birkenstocks sandals already and although I can wear them the straps are barely able to velcro together on the Tevas because of my thick ankles, and I've got the Birks as loose as I can get them. I absolutely hate Croc type shoes. Any overweight women here care to chime in with some sandal suggestions? I need very good walking sandals with longer straps and unfortunately don't live too close to anywhere I can go try things on, I usually need to order online. Thanks for any suggestions :)

I love Propet sandals. I order them from Shoemall. They have wide widths which translate to longer straps. They have a 1000 mile guarantee and are super comfortable.

I had the same problem with those styles... I pretty much only wear crocs in Disney now - the most comfortable thing I've found - and also wear Reef brand flip flops... I had to buy Men's last time to get the right fit. I'd really recommend making a special trip someplace where you can try them on!!! I would never be able to order shoes online if I wasn't already familiar with the sizing of that particular shoe. Good luck!
