Good value/mod pool and location?

Looking for your opinion on the best mod or value resort....best location, best pool? Mom with two small kids, for lots of resort and pool time...not alot
of park time. Thanks

CSR all the way. The pool is nice and big, and the 4 bus stops makes it easy not to be too far away from the room.

In my experience the best value resort is Pop Centruy. My daughter love the resort and the pools. The best moderate for me will be the Port Orleans French Quarter because it has the feeling of a small resort and it is very charming.

For lots of pool time I would go with CSR too. They have the longest pool slide of any Moderate resort.

I agree that CSR has the best pool for older children but if your kids are small and you will be by yourself POFQ would probably be your best bet. The slide is smaller but cute.

CBR has a fun pirate themed water area for younger children.

But our favorite is CSR. The resort has a super-relaxed atmosphere and my kids were very happy to spend hours at the pool/playground instead of the parks. (Every other trip, we barely spend any time at the resort and maybe use the pool once)

Our fav moderate is POR for boat to DTD, Horse & Carriage rides, evening (family) entertainment in the lounge, great food court, beautiful theming, rooms newly refirbished with 2 queen beds, and location.

But if your strictly speaking pool, CBR has the better pool, esp for younger children. Also has good location close to Epcot & DHS. We liked the Jamaica section.

How old are your children?

CBR has a great children't water play area as well as zero entry, the only mod that has zero entry to their pool.

POFQ is a great resort with a very compact footprint due to it's theme, there isn't a lot of walking there, and the pool is cute with a slide that is great for little kids, not so much for big kids. You also have the boat to DTD and shared use of POR's pools and amenities there.

IMO CSR's pool is more geared towards older children, the slide is quite long. I am sure there is some sort of water play area there but I cannot remember it, and I do remember CBR's very well, it was amazing.

My only hesitation about CBR is the size of the resort. If you book there I would go for the preferred room location.

I agree wholeheartedly with this post and have stayed at both. For our family (5) POR Alligator Bayou section (though we stayed at Magnolia terrace which we liked) was our home away from home at WDW until joined DVC. My son and I did CBR for the pirate themed rooms which he loved, and it was too cold for the pool which was one of the best I have seen on site, although it had little shade. The food court at POR was the best. I have visited CSR (though not stayed there) and it compared to CBR, but our family prefers POR. We would rate POR as near deluxe with beautiful landscaping and theming, restaurant on site, great counter service. and evening entertainment in the lounge with Bob Jackson. Only negative at POR that I can think of is (and we are passed that point now) the pool is not zero entry, but has a traditional wading pool.

Her kids are 4 and infant. Having pool space is important, plus good onsite dining to make it easier with the kids.

Best mod for the money hands down is POR. You can use both sides of the resort (riverside or french quarter) you have the boat to DTD and evening entertainment.

Best pool for kids, CBR no question. Really young kids it doesn't matter though as a smaller pool might be better as it's easier to keep a very close eye on them.

I agree with POR. Their main pool is large and has a slide, and there are multiple quiet pools throughout the resort which we preferred when the main pool got crowded. You can also walk or take the boat to POFQ and use their pool as well, and as PP mentioned, take the boat to DTD.
