What would be a good time to eat dinner at O'hana's and still have to time to walk out on the beach and catch the fireworks from MK? Thanks!! :scratchin

it of course would depend on when the fireworks are but when we went in Jan( fireworks at 7 i think) we barely got seated before hand with a 5:45 (i think or 6) adr...we were told you really need an opening time seating to be assured of a Fireworks seat as people don't leave till they are over.

so in your case, i think you'd either need an opening seat or one after the fireworks or you'll be standing around waiting while the fireworks are going on. not sure if they would allow you to go to the beach to watch or not if you are"in Line' for a seat.

hi....When you go in August...wishes is on at 10pm...So I would say have a Adr for 9pm.
We actually have an adr for late august at Ohana...ita a saturday night at 7pm....but although this is the latest Adr we have made Iam thinking of changing it to 8..or 8.30pm...so we can go onto the beach at the Poly for the fireworks :goodvibes

Does anyone know if the music is piped on to the beach?? :confused3

We we went in October Wishes was at 9 PM. We had a 7:20 ADR. We waited 40 minutes to be seated, and we were just having desert when Wishes started. We were able to see it really well from out table, but they did not dim the lights nor pipe in the music, we just saw the fireworks. We also saw the Electrical Water Pageant from our table. We had not planned on either, so we were delighted. Many have reported having to wait past their ADR time to be seated at 'OHana and this was our experience. They were very busy.
Hope this helps.

I've had dinner here twice. Both times waited over a hour to be seated. Maybe I have bad luck with my PS times but I've noticed everyone complaining about the wait, the times I been there.

The area is always crowded, no where to sit. I do wish they would do something about this waiting area.

If your staying at the Poly and you'ld like to sit there and have a cocktail and appetizer and enjoy this area with your family or friends, well your out of luck because there's always a huge restaurant overflow. I don't know why the Poly hasn't addressed this issue yet.

We were just there 2 weeks ago, on the beach and we didn't hear the music. We heard MK earlier in the day when the parade was going on, but not for Wishes. It was beautiful, nonetheless. This was when Wishes was at 8:00 p.m. We saw the Electrical Water Pageant at 9:00 p.m. It was beautiful and had music!!! We had dinner at 9:30 at O'hanas and had a beautiful view of the castle!!!

The sound on the beach seems to be an intermittent thing. It is supposed to be there but they have problems with the speakers at times and it doesn't seem to be on the high priority list to get fixed.

I would say that eating about 2 hours before Wishes starts would be a safe time to be able to eat and then get to the beach.
