MM registration..

Curious if anyone knows what happens if you have 2 qualifying reservations for 2 different nights? In the past I’ve been able to book MM when staying on cash at a non DVC resort (and it looks like that’s still allowed). I have A reservation in Nov with cash at POR and a points reservation in Dec. December was the only option I was Given, which is what I wanted so it’s all good 😊 I’m just wondering why I wasn’t given the option to choose

I believe the early reg period is only for stays on points … you could probably still try the general reg period

The new rule is that the cash reservation had to be made via MS, using your DVC membership, e.g. using points to pay for it or using the DVC 25% room discount.

Around early 2024 eligibility was changed to strictly room reservations made using the blue card holder’s own DVC membership. At some point prior to that they were allowing pretty much all WDW onsite reservations to qualify.

Now it must be a reservation booked using your membership and there’s really just 3 ways to do that:

1) Book using your points (direct or resale is fine)

2) Book using the points exchange (this is the only way value/moderate can qualify)

3) Book using cash via your Membership and calling Member Services (inventory is limited to DVC villa/deluxe)

In the past blue card members still qualified with cash rooms booked through Disney Resorts, and ANY reservation using DVC points (even rentals or point gifting from other members).

I called MS just to see what a cash room would be for Dec 15. The cheapest was $900 @ AK.
Wow! Yeah the cash rates go crazy mid-December.

Here’s Saratoga: After December 12th weeknights are the same as weekends. And it’s almost the same price as Christmas week.

Cash rates work out to ~$58 per point for Dec 12-24, yet ~$39pp for Dec 24-31. 😂 Ouchy!
