Good Time to Arrive @ Port?

What's the best time to get to the cruise line terminal? What time does it open? What is the usual boarding time? Is it 1 p.m. like indicated on the cruise documents?

We just went last week and arrived around 10:30ish. There were already people there. We did all our checking in etc. and then they started letting us in around 12:30 ish. We did not feel like we were waiting a long time. We went straight to make our Palo ressies and got the brunch and dinner we wanted and then ate the yummy buffet at PC!! Good luck!

Thanks, E&BMOM! This is something I've been wondering about, too. I definitely would like to get to the port and on the ship as soon as possible in January. The sooner we get there, the sooner our vacation starts!!

We always arrive ASAP as well.. No better time to start enjoying everything, than when it is empty...

You can arrive as early as 10:30, but you won't be let on the ship until around 12:3o. Then they direct you to the buffet because you can't go to your rooms until 1:30. The cleaners need that much time to get it all ready for you. Most people line up early and then their luggage holds their place in line while they walk around the terminal. There is a small observation deck you can step out on to view the ship. There are some soft chairs on one side with small tv monitors playing disney cartoons to entertain the kids while waiting. There is a tiny place to get a snack, but it's not always open.
Don't worry if the line is long in front of you because you move in really fast once they start boarding. You can meet some great people while waiting in line. That is half the fun of going. Everyone is so excited and very talkative with each other. Just thinking about it, now I'm ready to go again!!! But have 8 months to wait. Guess I'll head to WDW this weekend to help get my disney fix!

During our last cruise we got to the port at 9:45 and had to wait in the day lot until the other lot opened up. about 10:15. I would not get there any time before 10:15. John

Excellent point WE usually arrive at 10:30....

What is the best time to just walk right on? We have REAS booked, so no need to get there too early. Would love it to get there as early as possible, but just not alot of waiting.
