Good thing I wrapped them separately

I bought my husband a $30 multipack of i-tunes cards. We aren't buying much this year so I decided to wrap them separately so he would have more gifts to open. I came home this morning to find the remains of one of the packages under the bed and the card had been destroyed thanks to the dogs! They haven't bothered any of the presents until Christmas Eve, I guess they thought it was time to open their gifts It's a good thing it was only $10!! They have been much better than I expected 2 puppies to be so I can't complain too much, at least they haven't destroyed the tree or stolen any ornaments.

I was just saying in another thread that my dogs ate all the lady fingers that were supposed to be left out for Santa... er, Mom & Dad's eggnog wrapping party.

They also found their squeaky toys and bones we'd gotten for them to have in the morning.

Can you take what is remaining of the gift card and the receipt back to the store? Maybe they would re-issue it?

Dash only got into one present this year, and all he did was take the paper off, he didn't do anything to the actual gift. He did however know the exact minute I brought his presents into the house, even though DD kept him occupied while I was doing it. He knew they were in my bedroom (we learned a couple of years ago his presents cannot go under the tree until Christmas morning) and spent the last 2 weeks sitting outside my bedroom door whining to go in. A couple of times he did get in there and always went straight to where they were hid, looks like next year I will need to keep everything for him in my car or in the garage.

If you have the receipt you can probably get a replacement. If you got it at a brick&mortar store, maybe you could take the mangled card in to them? (At least they'd get a laugh out of it.)
